We have made wills of our own in the past, but we have kids, one with special needs, and knew it was time to call a professional. With very little fuss, we now have a living trust that provides for our children, POAs, and Health Care/HIPPA documents. After our initial consultation appointment with Dera Johnsen-Tracy, my wife and I were both very impressed and decided to have our trusts, powers of attorney, etc done. This was just completed and we could not be happier. Dera took time and explained everything and was very up-front about the cost ...which seemed reasonable to us. We had Dera put together out Living Trust, POA's, and move are assets in the trust. The process was explained very well and we had more than ample time to ask questions. I met Dera through a mutual friend who invited me to attend a seminar being held by Horn & Johnson SC. I found Dera to be very professional and knowledgeable about the topic of estate planning. I met with her after the seminar to talk specifics about how does one make a decision about estate planni...ng. Dera was very thorough in her explanations and made sure my questions were answered. I then made an appointment to meet with Dera and my husband to start our planning. Which by the way was very overdue! She again was very thorough in answering our questions as we started the process making sure we fully understood what each decision meant and what the ramifications of those decisions would be at the time the will, power of attorney, health care documents , etc would be implemented. She helped us talk through our thoughts so we could make a decision we felt was correct for our circumstances. Dera has a very light approach to the subject, we had a lot of laughs through our conversation which made us feel very much as ease. This type of planning can be somewhat stressful, part of why we did not do it earlier in our life. I would highly recommend Dera to you for your planning. She has been in this type of work for many years and has a vast knowledge having seen estate planning actually go to work for others. Their offices are easy to locate and provide plenty of parking.
