Phenomenal........
Mr Rice has represented myself and my wife and throughout the whole process conducted himself as a professional at all times. We could call and talk directly to him probably 90% of the time. The case results were above and beyond what we expected as Richard and Mike Fox fought our case while keeping my wife and my interests and her physical condition in mind.... Thx Richard You’re a Super Lawyer in our book.....

Definitely Recommend-No Nonsense
Choosing Fox & Fox, S.C. Firm and specifically Richard Rice for my case was the best decision I could have made. My career, my future and the security of a family were all turned upside down by the actions of a trusted employer. I was blindsided, unfamiliar with my rights and worried about the corporate intimation I knew would follow should I take a stand. Richard helped me with in every aspect of my case. Mr. Rice is an excellent skillful caring lawyer, from the very start, he was upfront and realistic regarding the situation and expectations. Richard truly went above and beyond in handling my claim. He diligently explained every situation in detail to me and answered all of my questions. I strongly recommend that anyone who would find themselves in an Employee Rights legal situation to contact Richard Rice for a consultation. Thank you again, I shall forever be in your debt.

A man of his word and worthy of his title
Amazing Experience. A Law Firm that lives its values and cares about their clients. Terrified and teary I stumbled blindly into Attorney Rices’ law firm after long having been on the receiving end of abuse at the hands of my former employer. I had written down Fox & Fox almost a year prior as a former co worker had mentioned his law firm’s name and good reputation. I stashed the number away never thinking I would need to use it. The thought of attorneys in general just hit a sour note with me. I just pictured ambulance chasers, the “one free consultation meeting” fees for every little thing. Let me tell you my fears were allayed. I was greeted warmly by the woman at the front desk and Attorney Rice came right out of his office to meet with me not knowing who I was and having no stake in my claim despite clearly seeing I was in distress. He could have just as easily told the lady at the front desk that he was busy but he didn’t and he sat me down and asked me easy to digest questions and he was very firm and had an air of trustworthiness about him right away. Based on my claims he provided me with incredibly clear and concise instructions as to how to proceed and it further instilled confidence in me that this man did not once mention fees or contracts or anything financial he truly put me, a total stranger first. I followed through on his basic requests and we kept in touch and let me tell you he is a terrific communicator, prompt and honest responses; he is not the type to just tell me what I wanted to hear and that was refreshing. We met again in person and after actually interviewing me and patiently reviewing my documents he agreed to take the case. Long story short is that both he and his firm had the utmost professionalism, integrity, compassion, perseverance, innovation and good judgement. As you may have already surmised, we were able to both make and resolve that case with great success and not once did I worry he would abandon or take advantage of my situation. I highly recommend Attorney Rice and Fox & Fox!

Excellent & Thorough Representation
Richard (Dick) Rice represented me on two cases involving my former employer in Madison, WI. He was often my voice of rationale and helped me feel confident that what I was experiencing was in fact discrimination and I was not imagining things. He also helped me process through the various feelings and insecurities that accompany discrimination in the workplace. He was very attentive to every document we presented to support my legal position and made himself available to me via email and phone over the course of the entire process which lasted more than one year in each case. I felt extremely supported by Dick throughout both processes and I would wholeheartedly recommend him to represent any person. As a Black woman it was a relief to have my experience validated by Dick he was and is a true ally. I was able to obtain a satisfactory settlement with both of my cases and I am not sure I would have had the same success with another attorney. As I said before I worked with him twice and I hope I don't encounter another situation where I need him but if I did I would certainly use him again. I have since recommended him on multiple occasions and will continue to do so.

Definitely Recommended
In my experience I have retained several lawyers and have found Attorney Rice of Fox & Fox to be of excellent quality. Unlike other lawyers that were indifferent, Rice is very dependable with transparency, returning emails and phone calls which is consistent with Fox & Fox's positive reputation. Rice has many years of experience, listening ears, solid advice and a polite confidence that comes with it. Rice is particularly quick-witted in depositions and Hearings, and is definitely ethical. So overall, I have found him to be a trusted protector and partner with my legal matters which has given me peace of mind. Attorney Rice has earned my recommendation.

Valued Counselor
I've had the privilege to work with Atty. Rice on a number of occasions and have been beyond pleased with his counsel and effectiveness. His calm, but direct approach to the law and the remedies that my family and I have seen make it easy for me to refer others to him and I've done so many times over the past many years of knowing and working with Richard. Terrific talent and listener, one you should work with also!!!

100% Satisfied!
A lawyer friend recommended Mr. Rice's firm to me, and when I contacted them Richard called me within hours. After an initial consultation, I hired Richard to represent me and I'm thrilled that I did! I had never needed a lawyer before and so was very grateful that he thoroughly and patiently explained the process, including potential benefits and pitfalls. Over the 2 years that my complaint was pending, Richard ALWAYS responded to my calls and emails quickly, whether it was late at night, early in the morning, or on the weekend. I quickly came to realize that Richard's years of experience had taught him well and his advice and counsel were spot-on. We eventually were able to secure a nice settlement from my ex-employer, and everything that Richard promised in our initial consultation he delivered upon in the end. Honest, thorough, and blunt to a fault, Richard cuts through the process with unerring skill and wise counsel. I couldn't be happier with Mr. Rice and his firm, and I give him my highest recommendation!

We won. Attentive, quick responses, hire this guy.
Mr. Rice represented me in a labor issue. As a state employee, it is daunting to take on the Department of Administration. Our case went all the way to the WERC (WI Employee Relations Commission). We won our case and the state had to pay my legal fees and my discipline was reversed and removed from my personnel file. Very quick to reply to my queries, and he listened to what I had to say. I don't care much for attorneys in general, but Richard is a winner.

Reccomendation for Richard Rice
Mr. Rice first provided legal representation for me approximately 25 years ago. He went to great lengths to resolve my case with the best possible outcome. He provided honest and thorough communication, assuring that I understood each step of the process. Since our initial encounter, I have sought out his counsel with other legal questions and received prompt information. I have sent other colleagues to him with confidence as they also felt he served them well. He is personable and easy to talk with. At times, when Mr, Rice has had to deliver disappointing new, he does so with kindness and respect. He has my highest recommendation.

Outstanding Lawyer!
Richard Rice has served as my attorney since 2014. More importantly than being an excellent attorney, Richard is a principled man with high morals. He helped me with a separation severance agreement and through his hard work and diligence was able to secure a much lengthier severance agreement. I have hired him again and he is currently helping me with a situation that is a carryover from that separation agreement. He is determined to right this particular wrong! Richard has been very responses to every phone call, text or email, a trait that is difficult to find in attorneys. Richard has taken the time to get to know me personally and that has been appreciated. He has offered advice and assistance that I know he could have charged me for, but he did not. He is honest and will tell you how it is. Why would you want an attorney that is anything but honest? He is not going to adjust his level of honesty about your situation based on your ability to handle it. this is important, because too many attorney's out there may get you involved in something you can't win. I have referred 2 other friends to Richard and he has taken time out of his busy day to assist them. I would recommend Richard Rice to anyone looking for an excellent attorney!

Arrogant, manipulative & a very bold liar
This guy intentionally set me up to fail in favor of employers who he gave me legal advice to file complaints against by providing worthless information to the organization that investigated my claims. Given the worthless information he provided the organization as support for my claims, it is quite obvious he intended to make sure I did not win the case. After giving me advice to file a second complaint against another employer, he walked away from the matter as if he had no obligation to represent me. Although there is much more to say about what actually happened and how it happened, I am still fighting to get the Office of Lawyer Regulation to show some kind of integrity by pursuing a proper investigation to bring this guy to justice for all the wrongdoings he committed. His only purpose in taking my case was to make sure I failed. Without realizing it until it was way too late, I actually paid him to set me up to fail. Evidentiary materials in form of emails and other documents I presented to the Ofice of Lawyer Regulations clearly shows or prove my point to be factual. Unfortunately, living in a racist and corrupt city like Madison makes it quite hard for clear and concise evidence to prevail against a culprit who is looked upon as being a so called "well respected civil rights lawyer." ONLY IF PEOPLE REALLY KNEW!!!! From my understanding, this guy has been selfishly manipulating the law and his clients "for the longest" now. Its too bad to see that people like him have the great ability to use and abuse others the way he does without remorse. Worst yet, he utilizes valuable resources that is supposed to be in favor of the victim to help him cover up his illegal actions. Birds of a feature clearly flock together!! So far, it has been at least eight long years of dealing with total dishonesty and corruption of the system by those who have decided to take it upon themselves to make matters much more convenient for the wrongdoers regardless of the amount of clear, compelling, and concise evidence presented. These type actions of protecting the wrong must end some way somehow regardless of some people's racist ways or their intent to exploit their racism towards those they do not like. In due time, I plan to expose everything he did, how he did it, who he used during the process, and why he did what he did, etc. Besides, people have the right to know all about lawyers like him who is arrogantly disrespecrful towards some of his clients, the law, and the court(s). It must be nice to have the ability to utilize the resources of an organization that was established to discipline lawyers like himself who violate and disrespect the laws and rules without facing consequences for his actions. There is plenty of palpable and compelling information to be shared which points directly to who this guy really is. The problem is that none of the evidence is being taken seriously, reviewed impartially or objectively according to procedures or the law. I have many distasteful, but truthful words to describe this individual, those who are protecting him, and the law firm he works for. Please DO NOT be misled by the profession and phony or elevated Internet ratings. This guy is really bad news for some people. Most disturbing is the fact he is being very well protected by those who manipulate the system in ways to make sure he is shielded from any prosecution or disciplinary actions. I have total proof of my claims against him. The main problem is my inability to find an attorney who is willing to challenge him, his sleazy firm, and the Office of Lawyer Regulation. Once the evidence is presented and reviewed objectively and impartially as it should, it will become much more clear as to who and what he really is. Regardless of the fact he is being protected by the organization that was established to discipline him for his wrongdoings, his actions of committing fraud on the court will provide me the time I need.

Response from Richard Rice January 30, 2018
I pride myself in open, honest and complete communication with both Clients and potential Clients. Almost all persons thank me for my honesty and directness, which is why I and our firm are recognized by our colleagues and clients in our practice of law. I disagree with and dispute every non-specific allegation stated by "Glendale" who is under court order to have no contact with me or the firm under threat of being incarcerated. Strange, but true.

Rude, disrespectful, and shows no conern.
Very rude and disrespectful. Spoke to me as though I was incompetent, belittled me, and spoke in a tone as though I had upset him. Cut me off while speaking, spoke over me, and when I attempted to apologize if I somehow upset him he just hung up on me. Would not recommend him to ANYONE.
Response from Richard Rice June 5, 2017
This person met with me for about 20 minutes because his former attorney dropped him as a client, likely because he has no viable case related to a situation where he was a student and used profanity toward his instructor in the technical school setting. Within 10 minutes of leaving my office, he sent me a profane and angry email and mentioned that he had retained another attorney and came to see me to "maybe get another strategy on how to proceed". I will not represent anyone who communicates to me in a profane manner. Richard Rice
