Adam Onkels

I originally hired another attorney to handle my divorce, but the only thing that truly mattered to me was the protection and safety of my daughters. It became clear early on that my first attorney wasn’t the right fit, and that’s when I was referred to Adam Onkels. I worked with Mr. Onkels throug...h the entire process — mediation, GAL involvement, and the final order. He is honest, forthright, and truly listens. He’s straightforward and tells you what you need to hear, even when it’s not what you want to hear. I can’t say I always agreed, but I don’t have another experience to compare it to — and I do believe he guided me with honesty and integrity. Mr. Onkels answered every question I had (even the tough ones). Over time, I found myself knowing what he’d probably say because I’d learned to understand his approach. I continue to keep him on retainer and plan to do so until my children are grown. He is truthful, dependable, and professional. I recommend him without hesitation.

After my ex decided to leave our relationship and move way up north with her new man, and threatened to take our little girl with her, I found Adam Onkels at Cordell and Cordell. Adam placed and received an ex parte order on a weekend!! and from there on he fought and won battle after battle for me! ...When Adam moved to Forward Legal. I followed and hired him there as well. Adam was absolutely amazing to work with. I was served with a temporary restraining order on a Friday night, with a hearing the following week. I left Adam a voicemail over the weekend, and was contacted back by him right away. He had me in the following day for a meeting to discuss the situation and... a strategy, and even worked over an hour past office hours to make sure I had the time with him that I needed. He even agreed to arrive at the hearing extra early, just for my own comfort, as I was terrified to go to a court hearing. I can’t recommend Adam enough, and can’t thank him enough for all the work and effort he put in on such a short notice. He made the terrible situation so much easier to handle. Oh and he had the case dismissed! :)

Adam is an incredibly competent attorney and the other review on this site is not consistent with my experience working with Adam. Not only does he meet with clients to prepare for hearings, but clients receive detailed emails outlining the strategy in the case and regular status updates. Adam is f...antastic to work with and someone who you know truly cares.
