Biography
Bob Caflisch has been in private practice since 1981 advising businesses and individuals on commercial/residential real estate and business law matters. He is a founding shareholder of Ritz & Caflisch, S.C. and has acted as the lawyer for LLCs and corporations providing legal services on a variety of small business and real estate transactions. His post-college experience working as a CPA coupled with his legal training provides him with the background to assist small business clients.

I am a Baraboo, Wisconsin, native and graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business [1974] and Univerisity of Wisconsin Law School [1981]. After college I worked in public accounting for 3 + years and I am a licensed, but non-practicing Certified Public Accountant [CPA]. My law career has been with law firms working in private practice advising clients on real estate and business transactions. My law partner, Peter Ritz and I have been practicing together since 1990 and we both primarily practice real estate and business law which allows us to collaborate on cases and cover for each other.
I have been a frequent lecturer for lawyer continuing education programs in addition to teaching often at the UW Law School's Lawyering Skills Course instructing third-year students.
I was named a Best Lawyer in Madison by Madison Magazine in its inaugural survey of local lawyers.
