Anti-Child

Ms. Mansfield ruined my life and that of my child. She somehow mastered getting custody of my son transferred from me to someone who had no legal relationship to my son, although they had no foster care license either. When my son reported abuse in his new home, it was treated as trivial. The soci...al worker talked to the abuser, who promised to "curb his behavior." If this is how she treats children, God help anyone else. My son ended up an addict who robbed houses, despite the financial advantages in life, and his father was in constant denial, having been raised by an alcoholic. He didn't want custody. In fact, he didn't even want a child. He coincidentally sued for custody when he got a six-figure income. He had never completed paternity papers, despite having had them for five years. Actual paternity was irrelevant to custody, I guess; and all the canceled visitations were irrelevant. Our son had designer clothes, right down to his underwear, but he had no discipline or affection from his father. When he went into rehab, his father couldn't be bothered to show up for family week. Congrats, Mansfield. I hope you treat your own children better, but I wouldn't bank on it. You're on the other side. "If it takes a village to raise a child, it takes a village to ruin one." -- Attorney Mitchell Garabedian.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
