Saved me from probation or possibly more

I was working with a horrible attorney who did absolutely nothing for my case. I was facing jail time up to a year. I fired my old attorney and hired Kim about 1-2 months before my case was set to go to trail. After hiring Kim she was able to get the judge to reschedule my trail dates . But trail was... not required as Kim was able to get my criminal charges reduced to a Civil ticket. I will be using her services again and again!

Poor defense in maintenance (alimony) hearing

I was being sued by my ex-wife for an increase in maintenance payments. Attorney Zion talked a very promising plan in her office but provided minimal (if any) defense in court. Even my ex-wife’s attorney made a comment to me afterwards. Result: maintenance payments increased by over 50%.

Would not recommend

Kim Zion was very knowledgeable, yet I had a very difficult time with her. I felt if I wasn't calling everyday nothing would get done. I had to constantly remind her of important information, resend photographs and had to make suggestions. I felt very stuck. She could never remember anything and felt... as though she didn't take my case seriously, though it was a very serious case. I would call and not hear from her for weeks, which was not appreciated. she shouldn't have taken my case if she could not keep up with her work load. In the end I am glad we had an attorney, but I felt with a different lawyer everything would have been better communicated and the process would have gone faster.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
