As a single mother with limited time to write reviews, I hope this speaks to how appreciative I am of Attorney Scipior's help. It took me some time to find the right representation, beginning with an extremely green associate, then trying veterans in the field who charged top dollar yet still made mi...stakes. Anne was consistently professional, approachable, and upfront as I navigated a custody battle initiated by my son's father soon after my son was born. She educated me in layman's terms on the family court system and thoughtfully listened to my concerns without simply telling me what I want to hear. While I have recently decided to represent myself due to financial constraints, I am grateful she reversed my previous suspicion that everyone in family law is condescending or money-grubbing.

Cordell & Cordell was the second law firm that I needed in my divorce case to represent me. The previous law firm I was with had issues with getting back to me on information that I needed to provide to the court. The previous law firm was not handling my case in a timely manner and I was basically... representing myself trying to figure out what needed to be done. I knew I needed to find an attorney that was going to be extremely knowledgeable with my difficult divorce case. I found that with Attorney Anne Scipior. I really appreciated the communication that kept me up to date on what was going on in my case and what needed to be done. Anne was very thorough and made sure everything was completed correctly. While I was living in Washington state, my ex-girlfriend was attempting to move my daughter from Wisconsin to Florida without telling me. Anne was able to get the court to keep them in WI until we could establish a new parenting plan, as I was in the process of moving back to WI at the time I found o...ut they were trying to move. My goal was to get 50% placement of my daughter once I moved back to WI, which Anne told me I had about "a 0-2% chance" of winning. Throughout our consultation, she was very forthright and honest about the potential implications of all options; including the expense it would take to fight this. Despite the slim odds, I knew I had to at least fight for my daughter, so I informed Anne that we wanted to pursue the 50% placement. It took months of work, but we eventually established a solid case of why it would not be in my daughter's best interest to move to FL, and why it would be in her best interest for me to have her 50% of the time. In the end, I ended up preventing her mother from moving her to FL, and won 50% placement despite the odds. Throughout all of the phone calls, meetings, and hearings Anne was always very prepared and professional. I would highly recommend Anne, especially if you find yourself facing an uphill battle for custody/placement.
