The Criminal Justice system is very difficult, especially as a defendant. Attorneys such as my self schedule many hearings the same day because there are incredibly long wait times to go before a judge. In order to not have down time lawyers double triple and sometimes quadruple book cases in order to keep the cost of service low. In this particular case this client was unable to avoid the criminal justice system for the same offense OWI 4 times in 5 years and failed to stop drinking even during the period of here bond on this case in question. I am sorry she is unhappy with the service she received, but a little bit of personal responsibility in here situation would go a long way in preventing these types of problems for her in the future.

Proceed with caution

matthew was a good communicator in the very beginning....he seemed to take a genuine interest in me and my case. That all changed it him the first month. As other reviewers stated, he is not good about returning calls (when you are able to leave s message and his voice mail is not full) or providin...g progress updates. Unfortunately, deadlines were missed and important details were overlooked - I ended up doing a majority of the work myself. I gave left Matthew numerous messages, have sent him text messages, and emails with no response for the past 2 months. I would not recommend his services.

Avoid at all costs, worthless

Piss poor communicater, never returns calls. His voice mailbox is always full so you can never leave a message for him. Left me hanging for well over three months without communicating pryer to my jury trial in April 2013, then wanted to prepare for trial on the morning of the trial. Has totally miss... led me all along the way. He never wanted to fight for me in court. He doesn't have the ability, knowledge or expeirence to fight in court. All he ever wants to do is whats easiest for him, " Plea deal, Plea deal, it will be ok ". It hasn't been, I lost my gun rights because he was afraid to challenge a stupid very low level charge. Another time, in late 2012 facing Judge Flanigan, i didn't want to face her, he kept saying " it will be ok, I know her, I have no problems with her, shes fine ". Based on his recommendation, a plea deal, which I didn't know any better and trusted him, I ended up going to jail for a long weekend. All he could say was "G, I didn't know she would do that ". Ya sure, thanks a lot. I've learned quite a bit this past year an a half and have since hired a much better attorney who has helped greatly at cleaning things up for me. Please don't hire this attorney for your own good. All he can do is take your money, then miss lead you and never communicate with you.

please avoid him

I liked him at the beginning. He seemed very knowledgeable and seemed to really care about my case. The price was right for me so I paid him. Then when it came down to returning my call, he wouldnt. His voicemail was full two different times. This was a very important case for me and I needed someon...e that was going to have my back and do his job. After Weeks of him not returning my calls and informing me of anything, I was out money, and he never accomplished anything for me. Its sad because you put your trust and faith in an attorney and obviously you went to one for a reason and to be treated like that is just awful.
