About Mark
Biography
Mark Young is a personal injury trial lawyer, representing injured people and their families, with more than 40 years of experience. A graduate of Marquette University Law School, he has been practicing law since 1976 and has a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Illinois. A shareholder since he joined the firm in 1985, he has served as one of the managing attorneys for the firm’s Milwaukee office. Mr. Young handles all types of personal injury cases, but has specialized experience with cases involving technical, scientific or engineering matters, such as automobile accident reconstruction, automotive safety (e.g., airbags, seats, seat belts, body integrity), product liability, and construction and workplace methods and equipment. Since 1991, he has been board certified in civil trial advocacy by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and from 1996 through 2006 taught Advanced Trial Practice at Marquette University Law School. He has lectured and authored on the subjects of trial practice and technique, civil procedure and evidence. He has been a member of the Board of Governors of the State Bar of Wisconsin and has served as co-chair of the Jury Instruction Committee of Wisconsin Academy for Justice. He is a member of the Wisconsin Chapter of the American Board of Trail Advocates and was President of the chapter in 2010. He is currently listed in Best Lawyers in America for his work in personal injury litigation. Mark has been listed as a Wisconsin Super Lawyer since 2005 and was named to the Top 50 Wisconsin Super Lawyers list in 2005. He was also named a Leader in the Law by the Wisconsin Law Journal in 2010.
Mark is also involved in the Milwaukee community. Since 2009 he has been a member of the Board of Directors of ABCD: After Breast Cancer Diagnosis, a Milwaukee based nonprofit that provides free one-to-one counseling to individuals and their families diagnosed with or affected by breast cancer throughout the United States. He served as President of the Board from 2013-2014. From 2007-2016, he is also served as a member of the Board of Directors of Alliance Française de Milwaukee, which promotes French culture and events in Milwaukee.
Mark has also been a member of the Board of Directors of the Froedtert/Medicall College of Wisconsin Cancer Center since 2015 and will serve as Chair of the Board of the Cancer Center from 2017-2019. He also serves as a member of the Committee for Medical College of Wisconsin Department of Surgery’s “We Care Fund for Medical Innovation and Research.”
