Greetings!   Thank you for taking the time to read my profile.  A little about me: 

I am a 34 year veteran in the mortgage lending, title insurance and real estate industry.  I have handled every aspect of a real estate transaction during my career - from re-zoning vacant farm land, addressing soil conditions, wet land issues, FAA issues to development, new construction, real estate sales, loan origination, appraisal of the property, title insurance, closing the transaction and foreclosure of the loan.  In addition to being a licensed attorney, I am also a licensed real estate broker in Wisconsin and Illinois, hold a title insurance license, and mortgage originators license.

I am a graduate of John Marshal Law School in Chicago where I received my Juris Doctorate ( cum laude), my LLM in Taxation, my LLM in Employee Benefits and currently working on my LLM in Information Technology and Privacy.   ( I love to learn...and teach!)

I have published articles pertaining to Employee Benefits, ERISA litigation, Information Technology and Privacy, Tax law and Real Estate.  I have also helped write the curriculum for continuing  real estate education for brokers and I serve as a real estate instructor for the real estate school and on the arbitration board for Metropolitan Association of Realtors.   I am also an arbritrator for FINRA.

I am very passionate about helping people - I have spent a significant amount of my time working in the Fair Housing arena  both in WIsconsin and Illinois with the Fair Housing Legal Clinic and with the Illinois Attorney Generals Office- working with victims of predatory lending, lending fraud, elderly abuse  and working with people with disabilities who have been discriminated against in housing, have otherwise been denied loans, insurance or accommodations all in violation of the Fair Housing Act.
