Melissa Louise Barrette

Attorney Melissa Barrette is currently a partner at Kaehne & Barrette, S.C. in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. She dedicates her practice exclusively to criminal defense with a personal commitment to provide competent representation in a supportive environment.

Additionally, Attorney Barrette worked as a project assistant for the Wisconsin Innocence Project, where she investigated claims of factual innocence and wrongful conviction. Her duties included interviewing incarcerated clients, locating and interviewing potential witnesses, reviewing case files, and preparing motions for DNA testing and new trials.

In May of 2013, Attorney Barrette graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where she was an active member of the Women’s Law Student Association. Prior to attending law school, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies, Political Science, and Sociology from the University of Wisconsin in 2010. During her undergraduate studies, she served as the President of the University’s Legal Studies Association.
