also known as Judge Linda Van De Water (Ret.), Judge Linda @ CCMA SOLUTIONS, LLC
Mediation not litigation not only saves you time and money, but allows you to create your own compromised agreement rather than taking a chance on what a court might order or decide. Any issue or case in an area of law can be resolved amicably and cheaply with Mediation.
I formed CCMA SOLUTIONS, LLC (Consultation, Collaboration, Mediation & Arbitration) and mainly focus on Alternative Dispute Resolutions as a Certified Mediator. My 33 years of practice as a lawyer and 12 years as a Waukesha County Circuit Court Judge, along with my Mediation Certification from Northwestern University, give me a unique ability to resolve a multitude of cases fairly and efficiently without having to waste time and money litigating them in court.
Although many of my cases are Divorce and Paternity, I have also Mediated a multitude of topics including: Contract disputes, Landlord/Tenant leases, Probate disputes, Real Estate issues, Accidents and Personal Injury cases, Partnerships and Corporate disputes, Customer Complaints, Money Judgments and Human Resource issues are just a few of the areas I have successfully settled through mediation. Mediation works well to settle any type of civil litigation. I have resolved claims that have not yet been filed, cases that are pending and post-judgment motions.
When you Mediate with CCMA I help you resolve your disputes faster and cheaper, and with input from you, your clients, customers, employees and others involved in the dispute, rather than pursuing time consuming and expensive litigation with little or no input into the outcome of your dispute. I really enjoy resolving all types of conflicts and disputes. I look forward to helping others reach a peaceful resolution of their case or dispute that results in a written agreement adopted by all parties. Whether the case has been filed, it's a grievance or a complaint, I can resolve the issues of conflict before you spend the time and money in court and risk having a judgment filed against you, your company or your clients.

Won't use anyone else!
I had my first experience as a family law attorney with Judge Van de Water in a court ordered mediation. I will use her on my cases for all future mediations. She came prepared, having reviewed everything she could about the case. It was one of the most high conflict cases I've had, and Judge Van ...

Avoided going to court and settled a nasty real estate mess!
We bought a house and had an issue with the prior owners not disclosing an in-ground pool that was covered up! We filed a lawsuit and hired an attorney, but had to give them a large retainer which still wouldn't cover a court trial. We were at the end of our rope and wanted to resolve the case withou...
"I am happy to endorse Attorney Van De Water in the area of family law and divorce. She is knowledgeable and straightforward in giving advice."
"Judge Van De Water is a great mediator, and she is able to resolve cases effectively without much effort. She has handled several highly contested cases for my firm and was able to settle them. She is persistent and knowledgeable and has a desire to help the clients conclude their case without going to an expensive and unpredictable trial. I would highly recommend her."
"I know Linda Van De Water professionally and personally. While serving the citizens of Waukesha County as a Judge, she was fair, had a thorough knowledge of the law and had sensible rulings on the cases before her. She now uses her broad experience to assist attorneys and clients in resolving family disputes. I have utilized her services on several occasions, each time obtaining a settlement which saved my client time, money and the emotional turmoil of a trial. I strongly urge others to have Linda Van De Water help them out in their family matters."
"I became acquainted with Judge Van De Water during the years that she was serving as a Waukesha County Circuit Court Judge. I had many cases before her and I always found her to be informed on the issues, helpful in moving cases to resolution and easy to work with. This has continued in her work in the field of Mediation. In all of the cases that I have mediated with her, she was instrumental in solving difficult problems and arriving at a successful conclusion. All of my clients were put at ease by her easy going personality. At the same time, her experience from her time on the bench added great weight to her advice in the negotiation process. She is an excellent Mediator and I heartily endorse her."
"I have known Linda Van De Water for many years. I appeared in her court often when she was a circuit court judge for Waukesha County and I found her to be very fair, professional and impartial. Linda was always very knowledgeable about the law, she reviewed all the facts in a case in an impartial way and showed no bias to either side in a case. I very highly recommend Linda for her mediation services and I enthusiastically endorse her."
"I endorse this lawyer. I have known Linda Van de Water for many years, both as a judge when she served on the bench in Waukesha Country and now as a mediator. She has extensive knowledge and experience in family law, which makes her a great mediator. She also is able to work with divorcing couples to assist them in resolving custody, placement, support and property division issues. I will continue to use her as a mediator in my family law cases."
"I was on the bench with Judge Van De Water for years together. I know many lawyers who appeared before her. She is especially well liked and respected by the family bar. I have spoken to a number of lawyers who I have high regard for who tell me that they like using Judge Van De Water for mediation."
"I endorse this lawyer. Former Judge Van De Water did an excellent job as a mediator in a highly contentious divorce matter. I highly recommend."
"I endorse this lawyer. Judge Linda has recently retired as Circuit Court Judge from Waukesha. Part of the reason that she as effective as a family court judge was her ability to get into a case, analyze the facts, analyze the law and help the attorneys work through alternate strategies to come up with a solution that in most cases did away with the need for a lengthy, dirty expensive trial. As a mediator she has taken those same skills to the settlement room and has the ability to skillfully and tactfully help the parties to an amicable settlement, again getting rid of the need for a trial that will not only cost more money, but will leave the parties as bitter enemies."
"I have had the pleasure of appearing before Judge Van de Water on numerous family law cases. Already a capable jurist, both her experience and personality are well suited to mediation. If you are seeking to avoid the pitfalls of litigation you are already on the right track and with Linda you will be in good hands."
"I practiced before Judge VandeWater in both Juvenile and Family Courts while she was on the bench. Even then, she would lend insight and feedback to Counsel to assist them in resolving cases without litigation. She was able to provide feedback to the parties, while treating them with respect. Her sense of humor set the litigants at ease so they were more receptive to settlement. These traits have transferred over very well to mediation. Often, many former judges treat mediation as informally ruling from the bench. That is not the purpose of mediation. The mediator needs to facilitate an agreement, not make decisions. She is able to remove the judge's robe so as to be able to empathize with the litigants' unique situations so as to allow them to reach a win win resolution. In family court, litigation is a lose-lose situation. I highly recommend her."
