"I practiced before Judge VandeWater in both Juvenile and Family Courts while she was on the bench. Even then, she would lend insight and feedback to Counsel to assist them in resolving cases without litigation. She was able to provide feedback to the parties, while treating them with respect. Her sense of humor set the litigants at ease so they were more receptive to settlement. These traits have transferred over very well to mediation.
