I am the senior shareholder and president of Schmidt, Rupke, Tess-Mattner & Fox, S.C. Please visit our website at and go to my attorney profile for a detailed resume about me. I am an honest and hard working lawyer.
In addition to practicing law, I am an arts and education advocate, and serve on the Board of Directors of the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Sally Ride Academy. I also play the trombone for fun in several community orchestras and bands, and organize a trombone choir in the summer in Milwaukee.
I enjoy bicycling, and took two years off between college and law school to try to make the 1976 Olympic Cycling team. Now, I try to keep up with my son in law on the numerous 100 mile long charity rides or fun rides we do together each year.

best ever I had over 9 years in family law
excellent attorney, top ethics rare to find, excellent researcher , knows his area and solid expert
Thank you so much for your kind words. I am glad you are happy with my representation.
"I have recommended Attorney Tess-Mattner to several people over the years and they have all been very pleased with him and his firm. I enthusiastically endorse Kent for real estate, divorce and appeals."
"I endorse this lawyer. Kent is a skilled and experienced lawyer. He understands the law and is able to use that knowledge to argue effectively on behalf of his clients."
"I had the opportunity to work on the opposing side of Attorney Tess-Mattner a number of years ago on a divorce case. He was a strong advocate for his client, but was also fair and reasonable. His priority was always the best interests of his client. Yet, he is extremely fair and professional. He has a great dry wit that helps to diffuse the tension of a legal proceeding. His command of the law is incomparable. He is the man we look to when we want to refer our clients to an attorney for an appeal. We always feel comfortable that they will receive the best legal representation possible."
"I endorse this lawyer wholeheartedly. I have known this attorney professionally for many years online on a state bar listserv. Attorney Tess-Mattner has always given well researched listserv responses on appeals and family law. He is extraordinarily qualified to advocate on behalf of litigants. I've referred people to him and they've been very pleased with his work."
"Kent is one of the finest lawyers in the state. You will be hard-pressed to find a more knowledgeable and tough lawyer. I highly recommend Attorney Tess-Mattner to anyone in need of legal services in Kent's area."
