Wast of time people! I hired him as an attorney long time ago, 2 years later he haven’t touch my case. He has extremely rude, uneducated and unprofessional secretaries. He avoid calls and won’t follow up if you leave voicemail. Terrible attorney!!! Made a huge mistake by working with him. Do make t...he same mistake!!!

I hired this lawyer to help me in a daycare case so that I could keep my license. He seemed nice and legit at first. My husband paid my retainer fee of $730 and I submitted documents he requested. He want payments on the 7th day the invoice comes out. Because I used the wrong account to pay the bill ...and corrected it a day or to later, which he was paid successfully, he wanted another $2000 retainer fee which my husband and I do not have as I’m not employed at the time and we have bills to take care of. Because I didn’t have the money by noon he withdrew from my case. I’m trusting and believing that God will be the attorney by my side and I will win my case and Eric Puryear is going to have to answer to God for his gluttonous desire. Robbing from the poor. Revenge from God will be sweet to all who was taken by this man. I plead the blood of Jesus over all that we will Have victory!

I hired Eric for my attorney for a divorce any turn me over to one of his associates that just got out of college lost the case had to pay my ex-wife a half a million dollars had to pay my attorney fees had to pay her attorney fees and have to pay her $1,000 a month as long as she lives he's all abou...t money if your 1 hour late he will take you off the case actually he overcharged me on some items and he took me to court to get the extra money and it was proven that he did over charge in the judge told me I did not have to pay him so he will sue you

Make sure to pay close attention to the negative reviews on this attorney -- they are extremely accurate and I wish I had seen them before contacting Eric Puryear. I hired Eric to defend my brother last year, who had been arrested on a few charges that should have never been made (he was in the wrong... place at the wrong time). As someone who once considered law school, it seemed like a relatively simple defense case -- and Eric was local to Davenport and sounded like he knew what he was talking about. That was my big mistake. After convincing me to hire him (and getting paid), Eric did little to no work on the case, and failed to even upload simple documents that would have assisted in the case. The hardest work he did on the case was convincing me to hire him, and then when my brother and I tried to follow up with him on the status of the case he seemed annoyed, abrasive, or at best, indifferent. If you'd like to hire a criminal defense attorney, I'd recommend doing your research before getting scammed by this guy. In all honesty, you would be better off going with a public defender than Eric Puryear. Once we hired a new lawyer, he worked diligently to drop almost all of my brother's charges, and reduce the last charge to a minor misdemeanor offense. Not only did he work much harder than Eric for our case, but also had a much better reputation with the judges and attorneys. The last thing I would ever do is recommend Eric Puryear. I'd give him 0 stars if I had the chance.
