Over 15 years of experience in Iowa and Illinois. I am in Best Lawyers in America for Real Estate Law and I was also recognized by Chambers and Partners in real estate law. I was appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Senate to sit on the Iowa Title Guaranty Board which regulates title insurance in the state of Iowa. I currently sit on the real estate title standards section and legal forms section for the Iowa bar. Residential, commercial, 1031 exchanges, and development experience.

For the past ten years, I have been engaged by local bank clients to prepare their loan packages for commercial transactions. I prepare the total document package and a closing checklist and make the process as easy as possible for the lender. I answer my phone, respond to emails and get you what you need without delay. I have experience with various types of security and have completed financing transactions in both Iowa and Illinois.

I assist clients in organizing and structuring their business entities, working with them to make sure they understand the tax laws, reporting requirements and record keeping that is required. I have also acted as local counsel for a variety of national businesses providing them with information on Iowa and Illinois laws that impact their operations. I have also assisted businesses in financing and refinancing their multi-hundred million dollar operations.

I have engaged in commercial law for over 15 years. I represent numerous landlords and businesses in the quad cities and have assisted buyers and sellers in hundreds of commercial transactions involving apartment complexes, warehouses, commercial facilities, gravel pits, hotels, and theatres. I have experience in tax credit financing, land use laws, zoning and development. I have also prosecuted quiet title actions and evictions and have experience clearing title defects.
