Biography
I am a Trial Lawyer. 99.9% of my clients are beyond satisfied. If a case is winnable I can win the case and I do so by caring about my clients and treating them like family, caring about them, and learning their human story.
I am 39 years old and have a success record like nobody else at this stage of my career. I attribute this to hard work and being willing to take on battles that nobody else would. Because I am a trial lawyer I get top dollar settlements for my clients because the defense and insurance companies know that I will take a case to trial. If you ever want to speak to clients I have represented I can provide a list and you can ask them questions about how I have helped change their lives. I am licensed in Iowa, Minnesota, and California. I am a member in good standing with all State Bars.
I was on 2 years of probation with the California State Bar for problems that occurred in my previous California office back in 2007 (more than 7 years ago) after I suffered through the death of one of my chlidren. That had nothing to do with my skills as a trial lawyer in the courtroom. I learned greatly from that experience and am a much better lawyer and business person because of it. Personally, I enjoy being a husband and father, paddle boarding, scuba diving and teaching trial skills to other lawyers. I am a published author, the book is Trial By Human which you can find on . I am part of a great law firm in California (Carpenter, Zuckerman & Rowley) and also regularly team up with my wife Courtney Rowley who is also a Trial Lawyer.

Stay away from Nick
Nick does not listen to me. He did not seem to believe in my story or my case. He did not appear in court when I needed him to do so. He did not keep me well informed. I am stressed as I needed money badly and still do. I kinda regret I hired him

Replied last February 22, 2015No idea who this person is which puts me at a disadvantage in responding. There are only three clients I can think of in over 12 years of practice and hundreds of clients who would say something like this and I have my sides to the story which I think would shed different light on the truth of things. I had never asked clients to post positive reviews about me on Avvo or any other online consumer internet based rating system of lawyers and now am going to do so. I would caution people looking for lawyers to make the choice to hire or not hire a lawyer based on things written on the internet that are both good and bad. In other words, just because a bunch of good stuff is said about a lawyer doesn't mean it is all true. Look at the case results, look at a lawyer's history of wins, real wins in the courtroom, find out the last time the lawyer you are considering stepped foot in front of a jury and won a case and how many trials that lawyer has in the past 5 years in front of a jury. Many lawyers who hold themselves out as lawyers don't even litigate, all they do is run a operation where they talk big and refer cases out. I am the lawyer others call when a case is going to trial and where a real result is necessary. At the age of 36 I have approximately 100 jury trials under my belt and hundreds of millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements. I am a trial lawyer.
