After both shoulders were injured and the 2nd one needed re-repaired suddenly my company which was self insured, brought in another insurance company and assigned me an advocate who frankly told me this was all to try to save the company from higher damage costs. They were going to go to a LOT of expense to try to give me just a little??!! So I was angry and frustrated by these shenanagens. Ask questions - any and all questions from how they figure what you get percentages to when they have to start paying if you win. My advocate lady was telling me I would get more than I could ever imagine after what I went through. Umm No. About one third actualy of what I had conjured in my head. It was however better than the pittance of pennies they were trying to give me. So do not be afraid to ask questions as answering them is part of his job. Ask yourself questions to - like are you prepared to lose your job over this etc. Weigh all things against all things and let the checks and balances make your decision for you - NOT emotions.

In the past I have had the need for an attorney and the experience left me flat. When they spoke to me they would never look me in eye,plus they never answered my question fully.
