Vision: A world that honors the dignity and inherent value of every person and where the resolution of conflict is restorative rather than retributive.
Mission: To provide a values-centered process for clients to problem solve in the present and plan for the future. By focusing on solutions rather than blame clients are able to transition to their next stage of life without the baggage and collateral damage that often comes with an adversarial system.
Principles and Values: As a fixer rather than a fighter, I choose to practice law guided by the following principles and values.
Services
Collaborative Divorce - a team based process that keeps couples out of the court room. Collaborative attorneys and neutral experts help the family design a plan for what life will look like in two homes.
Kitchen Table Divorce - a flat fee service for couples that have decided how they want to design parenting time and divide assets but need help with the drafting and filing of documents.
Mediation - a neutral facilitated process to help families going through divorce or trying to navigate care for elderly relatives. The mediator works with the family to come up with a solution that will work for everyone.
Conscious Contracting - conscious contracts are written in plain language, grounded in values, and designed to prepare businesses to succeed rather than sue.

A compassionate but strong advocate for her clients!
When I first talked to Kristen I was very distraught over what I had learned about my marriage and my spouses behavior during our marriage. Kristen was very patient and compassionate, which over time brought a lot of calm and reason to the situation for me. I was able to move forward in a collabo...
"Kristen is a pioneer in the area of collaborative law, regardless of the specific area of practice. She listens with a purpose to find the most efficient way to resolve legal disputes with the least cost and heartache. Smart, compassionate, and reliable. She is at the top of my referral list for matters that we do not handle because I know she will do a good job."
"Kristen is a wonderful lawyer and human being. She truly cares about her clients and strives to be a peacemaker for them. She is well known in the legal community for her skill as a mediator, particularly in the area of elder law. She is an asset to our profession."
"I endorse this lawyer. Because of her communications background, she understands what motivates people and is able to use those skills in mediation. Our office refers our probate cases with family disputes to Kristen for her to resolve through mediation. She does a great job!"
