We solve problems without making you feel incompetent and have the experience to see how different areas of the law overlap so that we can catch more problems before they develop. The common issue is that you do not know what you do not know. We provide the education.
We are a non-traditional law firm dedicated to providing legal guidance with compassion and understanding. Many of our clients are vulnerable, in nursing homes, elderly, special needs, or grieving a loss. We handle these clients very gently, and have worked with the government systems enough to know what to expect and how to prepare our clients.
However, we also engage in estate planning for the average folk. Contrary to popular belief, you do not need to be rich in order to need estate planning. Estate planning is a fancy term for protecting your heirs from having to go through the probate process. Anyone who owns real estate needs this, whether it is paid for or not.
Our first Values Statement is People are more important than money. Do we have to charge for legal work? Yes, I have to pay salaries and keep the lights on. Are our fees reasonable? I claim they are. Additionally, if you are a married Medicaid client with limited resources, we offer a sliding fee scale.
Our clients hug us. We like that. Did I mention we are a non-traditional law firm?
Visit our web site, facebook page, or drop in to spend lunch with us, if you would like to get to know us a bit better. Our conference room is in the kitchen.

A will is very different from a Living Will. A will says who gets your stuff when you die. A living will directs the doctor's either to or not to do certain things to prolong your life if you are in a terminal medical condition. I do both. Typically, wills and Trusts are in the same category. I write trusts, as well. Note: total cases is an estimate.

Kristen Hall, Elder law Attorney on Jan 15, 2021
Relationship: Worked together on matter
I strongly endorse Cynthia. I have worked with her on several elder law matters and she and her staff are fantastic. They are compassionate, knowledgeable and solution focused. Families looking at guardianship, conservatorship or other elder law matters face a number of challenges as they work to care for a loved one and having an attorney who understands the complexities of the family issues as well as the legal issues is essential. Cynthia and her staff will take good care of you.
