I have always enjoyed criminal defense, and I am now extremely fortunate to be mentored by some expert criminal defense attorneys. I am currently contracted with the State Public Defender's Office. I also handle many private criminal defense matters. Criminal defense and Immigration are always matters that go hand in hand for my non-US Citizen clients. It is indispensable that I am an expert in both. I provide straightforward counseling and zealous representation.

The law of immigration requires specialized knowledge about the rules and regulations of the US Citizenship and Immigration Services and Immigration Courts. I am fortunate to have married my lovely Chinese wife, Yangyidi Ye. I have maneuvered through USCIS processes personally. I understand how important and emotional those processes can be. Clients will appreciate how I handle these delicate matters affecting their lives, the lives of their family members, and the lives of their colleagues.

I am contracted with the State Public Defender's Office to handle juvenile cases. In addition, I previously was an Court Intern at the Madison County Juvenile Drug Court in Canton, MS. There I handled counseling of juveniles through legal matters as well as drug abuse. Now, in Iowa, I represent parents and children in CINA cases as well as Juvenile delinquency cases.
