Completely incompetent. Was married for 13 years and I lost EVERYTHING. Even the law of averages says I shouldn't have been made to sleep in my car but I was and Steve knew it. He could not have cared less. Years later when I show anyone my paperwork and what happened, nobody can believe that someone... this incompetent would be allowed to practice law. And this psycho has the gall to send me an invoice every month so I can continue to remember how badly I was screwed over. DO. NOT. HIRE. THIS. PERSON. Seriously, I beg you. I think you'd do better to represent yourself.

This was my second time asking Steve for his services at a moment when I couldn’t see a way out. After my consultation, I felt a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. I was in need of a lawyer for my divorce. I don't know any lawyers, so I went to Hope Law Firm to get a feel for them after hearing an add for them on the radio. It turned out that hiring them was probably one of my best decisions. They worked with me every step of the way. They were understandin...g when I was going through some financial issues, and didn't threaten to discontinue services based on lack of payment. All in all, I was very happy about the services that I received. I ended up getting nearly everything that I wanted out of the divorce and all of my questions got answered in a timely manner.

I worked with Steve for over a year on this case and I will say he was good about keeping in contact. What I was disappointed with was during mediation he basically sat there and didn't contribute much if anything when the mediator was in the room. I felt as if I could have done it myself. Also, I ...felt like I had to pry law information from Steve instead of him being open about it. I don't feel he respected my ignorance with the proceedings. That being said, he was very polite, business like, quick to respond, professional, serious, timely, and efficient.

This guy was my lawyer a couple years ago when he worked for the Hope Law Firm (he might still work there. IDK). To be honest, I didn't even want him as my lawyer. I paid $1500 to retain another lawyer in the practice but somehow wound up with Steve. I desperately needed a lawyer at the time so I gav...e him a chance. He hardly EVER returned my phone calls or emails, he didn't really seem to know what he was doing & during court, he barely talked to me to get the facts for the case. He just went by the paperwork he had. Basically, I was just a paycheck to this guy. I know that's how it always is with lawyers & clients but some lawyers make an effort to make their clients feel important. This guy, not so much.
