Jesse Latta Williams

I sought Jesse based on these reviews. Every review says he went above and beyond and I can say that is true. He is a very straight shooter and will tell you what you have for a defense and he will also tell what you don’t have. You do not want a lawyer who is just going to sugar coat and tell you wh...at you want to hear, you want the truth. He and his entire team are down to earth people who will talk to you like a human being. They know the system in this area and they really know what they are doing. I was given great resources, tools and most importantly Jesse took the time to hear me. He believed me when the entire report was against me. By combing through all the minute details he and his associates were ultimately able to get my case dropped to an infraction. Thank you!

Cant say enough good things about Jesse Williams and his team (Fred) I had already missed my court date due to a miscommunication through the courts. I called the biggest names I could find in Traverse City. When I explained my circumstances they basically laughed at me which only added to the extrem...ely stressful situation I was in. Basically my career was on the line. When Jesse called me back he could hear how stressed I was and took control of the situation right away. This team only wants to hear the facts so do not give them a big long winded story explain what your problem is Truthfully and they will do all that they can. When we met he made some calls and gave me instructions on what to do. I recommend just doing what he says or his team because they are only trying to help you legally not be a friend and make you feel good. When my day in court arrived I was extremely stressed as I had the odds against me. This is where I met Fred. With very little time and very little information due to me not understanding how courts work and legal words he got to the bottom of it and explained it to me in a very stern but fair way. Fred and Jesse and very little time to represent me and explain my confusion to the court. So again they are not here to make you feel good they are there to represent you and make sure you are treated fairly. Im not saying they made everything go away and I walked away with no punishment. I am here to say they took the time to help me when I was in desperate need with very little to no time to spare. This team did everything they could to represent me and I could not be more Grateful and I still have a career thanks to there hard work and understanding. Thank You Jesse and Fred for not being like the other Law firms bu just throwing me aside and hearing my difficulty's I am truly and extremely Thankful for everything that you done for me. (C)

I contacted Jesse after being arrested for OWI in Gaylord. As a Grand Rapids resident, and someone that travels a lot for work, Jesse and his team did a wonderful job minimizing the impact on my life leading up to trial. He minimized the number of times I would have to appear prior to the trial, an...d made arrangements with the Prosecutor so that I could drive and travel for work without restriction. Jesse's team kept me informed through the entire process, and gave me sound advice and helped me consider all the options. Unfortunately, the Prosecutor didn't want to meet the plea expectations I had, and the case went to trial. Jesse Williams and Betsy Mas both represented me at trial. They did an excellent job at preparing me to testify, selecting the right jury, challenging the prosecution throughout the trial, setting the trial up for successful appeal incase I needed it, and making sure the truth came out. In the end, I was found not guilty due to the overall strategy that Jesse orchestrated that found a way to shine a light on a dishonest police officer while not smearing him and disenfranchising the jury. Over the course of nearly a year between my arrest and my trial, Jesse and team were there every step along the way.
