I am so blessed to have had Jesse Williams for my defense attorney. In the fall of 2014 I got caught up in the mess of a lifetime over a simple misunderstanding with Michigan's very confusing medical marijuana law. And it happened in a very conservative county in the upper peninsula so the cards were... stacked against me from the very beginning. The prosecutor wanted me severely punished because I was a public school teacher that had a medical marijuana card and he was very difficult to deal with. The prosecutor constantly pushed back dates, and didn't bring evidence to court. He made all kinds of excuses to draw out the length of my defense. Jesse was incredible in the court room and he does a great job with questioning witnesses and talking to the judge. He sometimes suprised us with quick changes in direction of his questioning that led to very helpful answers. We fought for two years and we were about to go to trial before a reasonable plea bargain was offered. I was originally facing 5 felonies a max of 37 years (which was totally ridiculous) in prison, and my plea bargain boiled down to one felony that can be expunged, and 6 months probation. Jesse also convinced the judge to allow me to access cannabis for medicinal purposes while on probation which is a huge victory considering the chronic pain condition that I suffer from. In those two years worth of battle Jesse always did a great job of doing what was best for me. He loves to go to battle in trial, but said he thought trial wasn't what was best for me. I think most lawyers would have advised what was best for their pocket books in that case because going to trial would have been a nice sized pay check for him. But he wanted what was best for me and he honestly cared about getting me the best possible outcome. In a few years I will have a clean record and will be able to get back to teaching if I want. And most importantly, he saved me from sitting in prison for a crime I really didn't commit. I would recommend him to anyone who is in trouble because he was worth every penny and then some. My family and I will always be greatful for what he did for us.

Hands down, Jesse Williams was by far an excellent Attorney for us. He represented a very unusual and difficult case involving illegal intoxicants. I would like to thank Jesse Williams for the outstanding job he did representing me in my medical marijuana case. I was initially charged with a felony which he got reduced to a misdemeanor. And at my sentencing where Mr. Williams presented his motion I was fined and virtually set free. The motion wa...s so well reasoned and clearly laid out that the judge felt it necessary to sentence me this way. Otherwise he would have had to set a precedent he was not ready to put his name on, allowing a patient to medicate with marijuana while on probation. I am not a lawyer, but I read the motion and I believe that the judge was convinced that taking away my medication would have been wrong on the six different counts cited, my favorite of which is that it is illogical for rehabilitative purposes to prohibit me from possessing and using marijuana during my probationary term because it would not serve to rehabilitate me in any manner. During the hearing, the judge complimented Mr. Williams on his very thorough motion. Mr. Williams had done extensive research on a case from Macomb County which the judge found to be useful and instructive to the case, especially on the way he related it to mine. Medical marijuana cases continue to plague our court system and Mr. Williams is there to help clients wade through the mess.
