Grateful for the representation provided by Atty Williams

Atty. Williams was accessible, responded to calls and texts, and was precise in what details we should focus on and what issues we should leave alone. He had a team that assists with pre-hearing investigative work, so as a client, you feel like all avenues are being researched, and that he is well-v...ersed in your case. He was honest in expected outcomes and assisted our family in steps that we needed to take in advance of our court date. Brief, to the point, and accurate - as good of an experience as one could hope for despite a difficult situation.

Jesse Williams saved my life!

I am so blessed to have had Jesse Williams for my defense attorney. In the fall of 2014 I got caught up in the mess of a lifetime over a simple misunderstanding with Michigan's very confusing medical marijuana law. And it happened in a very conservative county in the upper peninsula so the cards were... stacked against me from the very beginning. The prosecutor wanted me severely punished because I was a public school teacher that had a medical marijuana card and he was very difficult to deal with. The prosecutor constantly pushed back dates, and didn't bring evidence to court. He made all kinds of excuses to draw out the length of my defense. Jesse was incredible in the court room and he does a great job with questioning witnesses and talking to the judge. He sometimes suprised us with quick changes in direction of his questioning that led to very helpful answers. We fought for two years and we were about to go to trial before a reasonable plea bargain was offered. I was originally facing 5 felonies a max of 37 years (which was totally ridiculous) in prison, and my plea bargain boiled down to one felony that can be expunged, and 6 months probation. Jesse also convinced the judge to allow me to access cannabis for medicinal purposes while on probation which is a huge victory considering the chronic pain condition that I suffer from. In those two years worth of battle Jesse always did a great job of doing what was best for me. He loves to go to battle in trial, but said he thought trial wasn't what was best for me. I think most lawyers would have advised what was best for their pocket books in that case because going to trial would have been a nice sized pay check for him. But he wanted what was best for me and he honestly cared about getting me the best possible outcome. In a few years I will have a clean record and will be able to get back to teaching if I want. And most importantly, he saved me from sitting in prison for a crime I really didn't commit. I would recommend him to anyone who is in trouble because he was worth every penny and then some. My family and I will always be greatful for what he did for us.

Life saver!

Was looking at 6 months in jail after several violations on probation. I still had 20 months on probation and things were looking terrible... We decided probation was just a problem for me and it was likely I'd get in more trouble and this would go on for a long time. The game plan was to face jail t...ime in replacement for probation. A miracle truly happened; Jesse got them to ignore the violations and give me 5 days in jail with probation terminated. Honestly my mind was blown and I've never sat in jail with such a grateful grin on my face in my life. I've had Jesse represent me a few times and he's never let me down. He stands up for what he believes in and get results.. Recently beyond any possible expectations. A very nice guy too.

This is your guy

When I first met Jessie, I was a little skeptical about him due to the fact that his prices for what I needed were so low. He told me "Listen most people will charge you 5,000 for this case, I'll do it for 2,500". I really needed someone who was going to give my case as much attention as humanly po...ssible so I figured the more money I spent the more assurance I had as far as them taking my case seriously. I went with Jessie in the end, and thank god I did. Jessie exceeded all of my expectations by a landslide. The motion that was filed was so in-depth you would not even believe. Not only was Jessie a great lawyer, he is an amazing listener and someone I can now call a friend. If you are struggling finding someone who you trust with appointing as your lawyer, honestly, you don't have to look anymore. This is your guy.

A Great, Understanding, and Straight-Shooting Attorney - Highly Recommended!

Going to court for anything is stressful, let alone finding the right attorney to get the job done. Not being from the area and passing through, I had been stopped and charged with marijuana. Having heaps of responsibility in my life, I felt as though I had so much to lose (as I had). After doing ...thorough researching for a lawyer that not only specializes in such cases, but also won't just give you what you want to hear, and will level with you from the start, though, I discovered Jesse. He will tell it to you straight, and keep in touch with you, while putting himself in your place by showing understanding of what you have to lose. To an even more important level (separate from my own issue), he is driven by 'what is actually right,' doing his part at making this country a better place by helping people in their situations. He looks at the bigger picture: What is morally right to maintain freedom, not necessarily what is enforced, in which some freedoms are eluded. I definitely recommend Jesse Williams to be your attorney!

"I met Jesse Williams through his participation with the Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan and their Trial College. Jesse is an extremely talented attorney who is unique in his drive to fight for his clients. I have practiced in the Traverse City area on occasion, and it is one of the most difficult places to practice in the state of Michigan. The judges are incredibly tough, and at times make it very difficult to exercise your client's constitutional rights. Jesse never allows judges or prosecutors to kick him or his clients around. He is willing to stand up and fight like very few other attorneys. I would recommend Jesse to anyone looking for a criminal defense attorney."

"In Northern Michigan, there aren't too many attorneys who are willing to fight against all odds for their clients. Jesse is an exceptional lawyer who is willing to battle the government for his clients. I've seen Jesse fight for clients in cases that seem totally destined for failure. Through his legal knowledge and compassion for his clients, Jesse is able to repeatedly beat down the government and obtain great results for his clients."

"Jesse is one of only a few "up north" lawyers that I can depend on for solid advice as a down state attorney. He is a real fighter who is not afraid to buck the system, and he provides top notch representation to his clients throughout northern Michigan. If you're looking for a pitbull to handle a case, you can't go wrong with Jesse."
