Do Not waste your money. Extremely disappointed, Find someone else, she just follows the opposing side's lead.

I have never left a bad review because you always hope people improve. I can't sit back and do nothing on this one. Stacy really didn't give us the time of day or fight for the safety of my daughter. It was hard to get a hold of her, there was not much time with her, and she did not seem personabl...e, caring or fight for my daughter. It seemed like she was friends with the other attorney and did not go to bat for us at all. I had to remind her several times that CPS substantiated the allegations against the other parent. Stacy looked tough but came across as a pushover or like she didn't know what she was doing with the other attorney in GR. I would represent myself before I would engage her again. It was a huge waste of money. After all of the money spent and everything horrible that went on, he was granted a couple of extra hours every other week, which he wanted nights. He had the best attorney and I had one that was scared of her. My ex just didn't want to pay more child support, but I would have taken zero child support, just so she didn't have to stay with him due to huge safety issues on a couple of different levels. A little while after the trial was over, her father stopped seeing her every other weekend anyway. He didn't want his child to begin with, he just wanted to hurt me, and not pay more. He has never had her stay at his house in years since then, she is 100% with me, thank goodness, and he rarely gets in touch with her. It feels awful to have her grow up without a father, but she is so much safer. Still dealing with issues from what he did to her. Shame on Stacy Van Dyken, and shame on me for not firing her and getting another attorney to protect my daughter. I didn't realize I had options.

Bad representation

I don't like leaving bad reviews, but this one really makes me think I am not over exaggerating. So to sum it up; I am a minor and she was supposed to represent me in court for 'whats best for me'. Clearly she did not. custety stayed the same, she never picked up her phone when I called even though s...he said that she ALWAYS would when I first met her. She also never reached out to me after the whole case. Like its been almost what....3 years??? total waste of money!!!!!!

Guardian Angel

I've used Sracy in the past to be the Representative, in Settling an Estate matter after my Mother Inlaws passing. My husband knew Ms. Vandyken thru his employment because they would run into one another there for many years. We both owned English Bulldogs also at the time and became what we wou...ld consider Friends. She worked Hard,Honestly,Aggressively, and Attentively. She allowed us to focus on the Mourning and Healing Process from my Mother Inlaws passing. She made us feel that we had our own "St Michael", that stood for us in battle. Stood "FOR Us", not just "Beside us." Her One on One Phone calls always Made us feel that our case was Important to her, also. We loved her and we couldn't Thank her, enough!. I think when you find and pay for the right Representation. That person that you've put your Trust, Life, and Furture in their hands. You build a Relationship with them. One of which you can reach out to Directly. . At Least every couple of weeks for any updates, answer for new questions you may have, Or to just Call and see how your doing thru the difficult and stressful process of things? Stacy Did that. If not, we could always call and leave a message with her staff. And recieve a phone call back from her. She was Truly, a Blessing to us in such a Difficult time. We are truly Blessed. Unfortunately , at this time our Daughter, whom she met many years ago at age 16,Has now had to hire Stacy for her Own, Legal counsel. She was in need of an Aggressive,Strong, Attentive Attorney. One that will Stand Up For,and Protect her and her Children's best interests, She'll be the one to stand " with Her", in Every Court appearance herself. Not an Associate. One who we Know, will Fight just as hard for her, as she did for us. Stacy's an attorney who will Communicate "Directly" with her every couple of week to update her, and to guide her thru all of the zigs and zags there are with a Divorce with small children. We have hired Stacy for a 2nd time and it was not only all of the reasons that I listed above, but because Stacy IS one who will not back down from apposing attorneys, will object when it's warrented, Stacy Vandykem will Fight for, Her. And the future of our Grandchildrens. Being in an Abusive Marriage for years was tough enough for our daughter, standing up in a courtroom, is Petrafieying to her. Knowing that Stacy Herself, will stand Beside her in a court room, and will be Fighting for our daughter, her best interests, and an attorney who is not Afraid. Our children,no matter if now young adults. Need Guidance at times. And I know that guiding ours to Stacy Vandyken, is Exactly the Women she needs right now to Fight for her and her children. Knowing Stacy Vandyken will be in the courtroom, truly brings us, 'Peace"

Laziest Attorney Award

My experience with Stacy VanDyken was horrific and negatively impacted my children. My children even grew to dislike her and her arrogant attitude. She is a huge waste of time. Stacy started out strong the first month once she got the financial agreement but failed miserable after. Stacy was so... disorganized and constantly late for court times yet choose to invoice me in the end for the time she was scheduled to be there. Stacy was late too invoice by 6 - 9 months so you are forced to keep track of her laziness. Stacy is not a parent and does not have a clue of what the best interest factors are for the children. Do not waste your time, stress or energy with Stacy and find anyone else as she is the all time worse attorney ever. Wasted years for her to timely respond and never followed through.

Was not helpful.

Stacy was very detailed with my case at the start and after the first year or three trying to get communication was horrible, appointments had to be booked to get any communication at all, and the office staff was less responsive. She is good when she feels like working I would find an attorney that ...will actually work on cases in a timely manner not Stacy time.
