Do Not waste your money. Extremely disappointed, Find someone else, she just follows the opposing side's lead.

I have never left a bad review because you always hope people improve. I can't sit back and do nothing on this one. Stacy really didn't give us the time of day or fight for the safety of my daughter. It was hard to get a hold of her, there was not much time with her, and she did not seem personabl...e, caring or fight for my daughter. It seemed like she was friends with the other attorney and did not go to bat for us at all. I had to remind her several times that CPS substantiated the allegations against the other parent. Stacy looked tough but came across as a pushover or like she didn't know what she was doing with the other attorney in GR. I would represent myself before I would engage her again. It was a huge waste of money. After all of the money spent and everything horrible that went on, he was granted a couple of extra hours every other week, which he wanted nights. He had the best attorney and I had one that was scared of her. My ex just didn't want to pay more child support, but I would have taken zero child support, just so she didn't have to stay with him due to huge safety issues on a couple of different levels. A little while after the trial was over, her father stopped seeing her every other weekend anyway. He didn't want his child to begin with, he just wanted to hurt me, and not pay more. He has never had her stay at his house in years since then, she is 100% with me, thank goodness, and he rarely gets in touch with her. It feels awful to have her grow up without a father, but she is so much safer. Still dealing with issues from what he did to her. Shame on Stacy Van Dyken, and shame on me for not firing her and getting another attorney to protect my daughter. I didn't realize I had options.

The BULLDOG you want.

I have worked with Attorney Stacy VanDyken in a professional setting for just over six years. My professional experience with her was in the child welfare system. Ms. VanDyken carries a reputation with her that she worked hard for her clients and she was a bulldog for them- which always proved to be ...true. As a child welfare professional, you always wanted Ms. VanDyken assigned to the children on your caseload, as you were always working in the child's best interest. You always wanted Stacy VanDyken to work with the department to help the child work towards peace and healing and to always ensure they were safe, regardless of whether they were home with their parents or not. If Stacy was assigned to represent a defendant in the matter, you knew you had a fight ahead of you. Stacy was always known to speak out, say the hard things that everyone was thinking, to perform ethically and within the boundaries of the law, and protect the vulnerable, regardless of who that may be. She is highly respected in every courtroom she steps into. She does what is right for her client and she can always be trusted to show up swinging for the "little guy".
