Gerald R. Lykins

Mr.Lykins is (in my opinion) the best lawyer anyone looking can hope to find! I've been his client for several different cases since 2009 i do believe. From serious felonies to misdemeanors, and even phone calls (a lot of them) with miscellaneous legal questions I have. He always returns my call extr...emely fast always within the day and he is a very busy man and does whatever he can. Extremely skilled and knowledgeable when it comes to law (very impressed) and most definitely has the best pricing i've came across. When I first called Jerry he was representing my then husband who already had a couple felonies on his record and it didn't look good for him at all. The first lawyer office I called was rude and made me feel hopeless about the situation and was also very pricey. Then I called Jerry, he was very professional on the phone and very nice to me, and really just made me feel like more of an actual human being, I didn't feel like a walking dollar bill with him i guess you could say. He gave me a lot of information when I spoke with him that he really didn't have to (still does) and he even looked up what information he could about my (at the time) husbands case. I decided to go with Jerry. I met with him and he gave me all the details on the case that he could AND even worked with me on his cost for it. The outcome was MUCH better than expected, and took on about 2 or 3 more case after the 1st one for my ex husband. He always did what he could for us as quick and efficiently as he was able to. I even had my ex's probation officer randomly show up around 10pm or so and I believe it was also a weekend, and i panicked most out of anger as to why these people where waking me up that late so I called Jerry and he answered AND talked to my ex's P.O. right there. He wasn't even upset (that i noticed) that i was calling so late. I had a case against myself where I was accused of shoplifting about 2011 or so and I was innocent, but before they searched me and my car I called Jerry again and he answered AGAIN!!! And spoke with the officer at the time, continued to check for me to see if I had a warrant (I didn't get arrested at the time) and eventually they issued one. I was scared but I had no doubt Jerry would fix it and would call me with every new detail he had and told me what to do with everything. He got the cased dismissed because they didn't have the videos they claimed they had and I got to see just how good Jerry is at what he does for myself up close. Now 2013 I contact Jerry with some type of legal issue/question at least once a month it seems like. He always treats me with respect, has an AMAZING price, doesn't make me feel stupid, AND THROUGHOUT THE YEARS I'VE KNOWN HIM HAS ALWAYS BEEN THERE FOR ME!! Jerry is just a downright fantastic person with a huge heart and actually cares about you and whatever your case is. He goes out of his way to help me when I need him if he has to. Still to this day I refer everyone I know that may need a lawyer to Jerry., I feel confident that there isn't another lawyer around that will put as much time and effort along with great customer service as Jerry Lykins has done for me. :-)

My mother found Jerry after searching the internet for attorneys for my drunk driving arrest. Immediately, my mother and I both felt we selected the right person to represent me with the Court system. Jerry met with us and took the time necessary to explain everything that would be involved with m...y drunk driving arrest and marijuana case. Jerry always took the time to answer my emails, text messages or phone call, even on the weekends. I cannot put into words how stressful the whole process was for me. To make matters worse, I made some bad choices while my case was pending and Jerry had to work hard to convince the Judge that I was worth taking a second chance on. I know Jerry never lost faith in me and this was more than just an average attorney would do for a client. Jerry truly works hard and cares about his clients. Jerry was always direct and honest with me. I would recommend Jerry to anyone if the matter involved a criminal case. He was great!

I hired Jerry to be my lawyer. He had explained what my options were. The prosecutor never responded back to Jerry, because the prosecutor quit his job and no one let Jerry know the court date. Jerry is a very busy man. He has many clients. However I showed up at court no Jerry. I gave Jerry a call, ...told him today is court day. He was with a client. He was never notify, but right away he called court and was there in 15 minutes to take care of the case. All I got was probation,Too bad he couldn't get me off probation since the prosecutor quit. I was happy anyways, didn't have to go to jail or pay a large amount of fines. For the first lawyer I ever hired in Michigan. I say he did an excellent job. He was responsive and trustworthy.

I was arrested for OWI 5 months ago. My parents called Jerry and scheduled an appointment with him the same day. We went into the meeting knowing nothing and left having a good working knowledge of what OWI met, what I should be doing, and what was going to happen to me. Jerry was very forthright... and concerned about me learning from this experience. Jerry advised me throughout and resolved my case in a good manner.
