Jerry from the beginning of representation was completely prepared and very detail oriented. Jerry was up front, honest and reviewed every aspect of what was going to happen concerning my drunk driving case. Jerry was prompt in responding to questions or issues that I had during the case. Simply... put, I think Jerry was superior in the way he handled my case. In the end, Jerry reduced my case from an OWI to an Impaired. This saved me money and license sanctions. I would highly recommend Jerry Lykins in the area of criminal defense. Jerry had represented my father and so I was well aware of his skill and work ethic. I had been charged with a Domestic Assault, but had left the State of Michigan the evening of the incident. I never returned and only learned ...of it when I spoke to my ex-boyfriend and he told me there was an arrest warrant for Domestic Assault. Well, I called Jerry and he immediately went into action. Jerry called me back and told me that he would go directly to the Judge assigned to see about lifting the warrant. Apparently, this worked and the warrant was pulled. I hired Jerry to be my lawyer. He had explained what my options were. The prosecutor never responded back to Jerry, because the prosecutor quit his job and no one let Jerry know the court date. Jerry is a very busy man. He has many clients. However I showed up at court no Jerry. I gave Jerry a call, ...told him today is court day. He was with a client. He was never notify, but right away he called court and was there in 15 minutes to take care of the case. All I got was probation,Too bad he couldn't get me off probation since the prosecutor quit. I was happy anyways, didn't have to go to jail or pay a large amount of fines. For the first lawyer I ever hired in Michigan. I say he did an excellent job. He was responsive and trustworthy.
