Costly Experience

Zero stars for this attorney. They called a meeting to sign documents pertaining to a probate matter. When the meeting was held there were no documents ready for probate matters, but instead they turned the meeting into "estate planning" which we were very clear ahead of time was not wanted. Billed ...over $350 for a meeting that was not wanted for that purpose. Dragged their feet on closing estate after probate indicated the estate was ready to close much earlier. Finally had to insist the estate be closed immediately as the delays seemed to be an opportunity for continued billing. Ultimate insult came after attorney assigned to the case sent letter stating the estate was closed and thanking us for having chosen the firm, two months later get a bill for "reviewing" an already closed estate. Was not impressed by demeanor of attorney, for example speaking insubordinately to us during conversations. Cost to benefit ratio: could have accomplished much more for much less elsewhere.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
