Terrible lawyer

I hired Joe for my divorce case. At the beginning I had hoped to work things out with my ex amicably but she hired an aggressive lawyer who made up his own facts and Joe was unable to defend me against this. What bothers me most is the fact that he is unwilling to admit any fault on his end. He ke...eps trying to push the blame all back on me. I am sure he will come back and claim I am distorting the facts or that what I say is not true. His famous line to me is "I told you to take the settlement". For the reason of misconstrued facts and hearsay I did not feel comfortable with that agreement and he did not fight anything that the other attorney claimed. For example they claimed extensive repairs to the house that my ex was living in that she would have to be responsible for. However there was no evidence of this whatsoever and Joe just bought all of this. i could go on but will try to keep this short. The fact that I am writing a bad review and Joe will come back and put a lot of effort in to defend his reputation aggravates me even more. If he put this same passion and effort into my case we may not be in the situation we are in now where I feel compelled to write a bad review.

Mr. Alpert: There are significant facts missing from your review, which makes the review unreliable and inaccurate. It is unfortunate that you have never bothered to express any dissatisfaction with my services over the appx year I represented you, which you also advised the Court of on the record at the time you told the Judge you wanted to have the Court close Trial proofs and move forward with a decision. You also expressly stated under oath that you wanted to end the Trial and have the Judge decide the case on the evidence admitted at Trial. While I agree that the outcome was not what you and I desired or believed was equitable, and that is why I recommended you consult with appellate counsel and follow the proper appellate channels, I cannot be blamed for your unilateral decision to ultimately take a very unfavorable set of facts to the Court. You were advised on several occasions over the year I represented you to resolve the case through mediation or through agreement with your ex-spouse. You rejected all settlement proposals at 3 different mediation sessions, even after being reminded by the mediator, that the risk of Trial was likely not in your best interests. You failed to mention in your review that I immediately notified the Court prior to Trial of a crisis in your family just before the Trial and I promptly filed an emergency motion to adjourn the Trial. The Court denied that. I don't feel like I need to say much more because I maintained the same level of professionalism and compassion to you even even beyond the conclusion of your case. Frankly, this is a very unfair and inaccurate review. It is very clear that you are attempting to shift your dissatisfaction with the outcome onto me and that is completely inappropriate and misleading to those reviewing me for possible representations. Regardless of your negative feelings and false review, I wish you and your family the best. Sincerely, Joe

Great grandparent custody battle

Great grandparent custody battle. We hired Mr. Fletcher to help us get visitation rights and possible custody for a great granddaughter. He did not do his research because it was (The day of the hearing) out found out great grandparents have no rights. Thank you Mr. Fletcher for nothing

There are significant facts missing from Betty's review, which makes the review unreliable and inaccurate. Betty fails to mention that the father (a party to the case) was fully on board with Betty receiving all of his parenting time for grandparent visitation. Over the course of the case, the mother and father ended up talking and ultimately agreeing to signing an affidavit (through the advice of their respective attorneys) stating that they opposed an order for gp rights, which precludes gp rights in this case by statute as written. Betty's review also fails to mention that CPS was involved during the the case, which caused a significant delay because the family case was stayed until CPS finished its case. During the CPS case, Betty and her husband were not permitted contact with their granddaughter, which caused a lot of problems emotionally for Betty (understandably so). The motion for gp rights itself not only cited the relevant provisions of the gp statute, but Betty was fully advised of all of the potential risks and outcomes from the beginning. Betty undoubtedly loves her granddaugther very much and she is likely a much better provider than the child's parents; however, Betty will never accept the outcome of the case and the lawyer and court system will be blamed for it. Betty should make her complaints to the legislators in Michigan and change the law for grandparents. I wish Betty and her husband the best and hope they get to be a part of their granddaughter's life.

Fantastic Lawyer!

It was simply a Godsend that I found Mr. Fletcher to represent me on my Divorce/Child custody case. I had a very emotionally traumatic marriage and the 6 month separation period was horrendous. Mr. Fletcher was very professional, very kind and very knowledgable. He was very proactive and got things ...done quickly. He answered my many emails promptly and educated me on the law as well. In person he was very forward and told you the truth and realistic expectations, so you were not in the dark and not caught off guard. He was very well spoken in front of the judge and I can not emphasize on his professionalism enough. I saw my ex's lawyer and how he performed and let me just say I praise God I had Mr. Fletcher! Even after his services to me concluded, he is still in contact with me to follow up on one more final item and he said if I ever need anything, do not hesitate to contact him. I can not say enough good things about him. This was the most difficult moment of my life and worse because I had very atrocious circumstances and little children involved and Mr. Fletcher got me through it in one piece. He is a family man and truly cares about doing what's right and wanting to help his clients. His kindness is not a weakness, he is very strong and confident and commanding when it comes down to business. His empathy and understanding, his professionalism and promptness to get things done quickly makes him an incredible lawyer that I was so thankful to have had.
