In the past, almost every public defender I've dealt with has usually attempted to get me to plead on my case as soon as possible--I'm sure in part because they're overburdened with cases--but it's usually at the expense of actually fighting the case. Mr. Caltrider continued to fight for me even a...fter I would have tapped out and agreed to the plea deal they had initially offered. After a long saga thanks to COVID, nearly a year later and multiple offers by the prosecution--Mr. Caltrider was able to get my charges dropped completely. I can't say enough good things about lawyers who actually care about and actually work on their clients behalf even though they were assigned the case as a public defense. I'd like to thank him a dozen times over. I definitely didn't need that on my record--and thanks to him--it's not!
