Before talking to Attorney Neal we've talked to several lawyers trying to find the right one for the case. I hired Mr. Neal for a landlord problem. I met with him & explained my situation. I gave him $1000 as a retainer. After I left his office I received an email from my landlord saying what they would do to remedy the situation. They also wanted me to sign an indemnification agreement. Didn't know what ...to do so I forwarded this to Mr. Neal & asked him to look at it. Didn't hear back from him about it. A week later Mr. Neal emails me a copy of the letter he sent to the apt complex. It didn't cover any of my concerns or address anything in the email that I received after leaving his office. I waited two weeks without hearing from Mr. Neal and sent him a polite email saying that I would not be using his services anymore. Then I hear back from him. By that time I had discovered on my own that the landlord could not hold me responsible for the entire lease if they rented the apt after I left. It would have been nice if Mr. Neal could have filled me in on this. Then I would have vacated immediately. In conclusion, I paid Mr. Neal $1000 for a half hour of his time for the consultation & to write a letter to the landlord that didn't even cover my concerns.
