Pre-Trial Hearing

I hired Mr. Grewal to represent me in my Pre-Trial Hearing. This was my very first auto accident and traffic ticket, so I was very nervous and did not know what to do. My employer told me that if I received 3 points on my license, I would no longer have a job. Mr. Grewal took the time to sit down wi...th me multiple times and reviewed all of my options with me. Mr. Grewal told me he would do his best to provide me with a result that left me with maybe 1-2 points on my license. The court date assigned to me happened to be on the same day that Mr. Grewal had to be in court for another case he was working on, so he explained to me that one of his Associates would meet me at the courthouse and present my case on his behalf. Mr. Grewal's Associate, Mr. Heos, met me at the courthouse and did an outstanding job. Not only did he provide me with an outcome that resulted in No Points on my license, but also at a lesser cost as well. I cannot thank Mr. Grewal enough for everything he and is associate have done for me. I will recommend Mr. Grewal and his Associates to my family, friends, co-workers and anyone else who needs good legal advice or services.

Caring and Very Very Very good to his clients

Retained Mr. Grewal for a drug case that I was facing approximately a year ago. From the beginning he was attentive to my needs and helpful with any and all questions and concerns that I had. Although expensive, you ever hear the saying "you get what you pay for?" Well in this case the money was well... worth it. I was very satisfied with the outcome and would definitely recommend his services to anyone who needs criminal representation.

Abandonment and systemic failure to represent.

Mr. Grewal failed to disclose conflicts of interest involving opposing parties, venues, judges, opposing counsel, and individuals engaged in serious misconduct, including falsification of records, boundary fraud, perjury, HIPAA violations, abuse of process, and abuse of power. These issues impacted t...he integrity of the proceedings; my rights, property, and livelihood. Despite being retained, Mr. Grewal never appeared personally and delegated my case to an attorney with no relevant experience, who failed to disclose conflicts involving opposing parties, judges, and a staged venue. Despite his public reputation as a legal genius, Mr. Grewal failed to perform the most basic duties required to protect a client. His conduct consistently benefited the opposition while shielding the involved institutions, enabling damage to his client and suppression of his clients voice and story. The result was catastrophic: I lost my home, business, livelihood, and reputation; ongoing reputational and financial harm continues to this day, stemming directly from these proceedings. Mr. Grewal made no meaningful effort to defend me, despite extensive discovery provided, including public records, abundant security footage, willing witnesses, certified surveys, and evidence suggesting racketeering and collusion between Eaton/Ingham Counties, Cooley Law School professors, Eaton/Ingham judges, affiliates, attorneys, and related parties. His team suppressed all of it. They ignored witnesses, failed to challenge perjury, disregarded documented HIPAA violations, and took no action to protect my civil rights, even while holding damning evidence that directly refuted false allegations. Key evidence was not incorporated into any meaningful defense strategy. This team showed no interest or effort. Substantiated concerns existed regarding bias, collusion, conspiracy, perjury, falsified records, and manipulated court venues. Court personnel had documented conflicts that required recusal but remained involved throughout proceedings. I entered hearings with evidence of perjury and misconduct, yet counsel failed to challenge bias, perjury, recusal, or venue correction. I was forced to conduct discovery and arguments myself without guidance due to their refusal to act or engage with the evidence provided. They allowed illegally obtained protected health information to be used against me without objection, failed to counter-file protective orders, and took no steps to safeguard my property, knowing it was central to the case. The opposing objective centered on acquisition of my property through fraud and abuse of process under color of law, facilitated by procedural manipulation, suppression of evidence, and lack of opposition. Counsel’s inaction had foreseeable and irreversible consequences that enabled unquantifiable damage to me. Communication was nonexistent; meaningful advocacy was absent throughout the entire process. Blatantly biased proceedings occurred without intervention or objection. This team attempted to convince me to accept a damaging deal offered by the opposition, which would have benefited the opposition entirely while offering me nothing. Accepting the deal would have cemented a false and damaging narrative and would have been the final nail in the coffin. I argued my own case while counsel remained silent and disengaged, without meaningful participation. The consequences were severe, ongoing, and deeply damaging. I strongly caution careful evaluation of your options before retaining this firm, or anyone embedded in the Cooley Law School ecosystem, particularly in matters involving abuse of power, institutional conflicts, systemic corruption, and county-level fraud or misconduct where aggressive advocacy is essential. The pattern of nondisclosure, inaction, suppression of evidence, fraternization, and decisions that consistently benefited opposing parties resulted in a profound miscarriage of truth, justice, and accountability.

Not Favorable

I hired Mr. Grewal's law firm to perform a change custody. I was initially told Mr. Grewal would perform the case. After receiving the retainer my case was passed to a less experienced attorney within his firm. The less expereience attorney had little family law expereience after graduating law s...chool 5 years prior. The hired attorney told my ex-wife, she "did not want to come back to Detroit to handle this case". As a Father, it was a horrible experience. I felt like my legal representation did not support a mission to gain custody for my child. They sent important documents to my ex-wife "by mistake" Therefore, givng my ex-wife advanced notice of my intent to gain custody of my daughter during my 2 month summer parenting time for my daugther. As a result this caused my ex-wife to alert police to perform health and welfare checks during my parenting time. Needless to say, it caused a great disruption in my parenting time. I didn't feel as though I had proper legal support during the entire one year legal process. When I was scheduled to go to court, my "attorney" told me the Judge had been out for office for 2 months prior. When we finally received a court date, the Judge laughed, saying he had been in office the entire time. The judge said IF had he been absent, the case would have been transferred to another Judge. It was a horrible experience. Received ONE invoice the entire time of the court hearings over one year. I do not recommend this law firm regarding Family Law.
