For 30 years Attorney Rolland Sizemore of Manley & Manley has been a highly-effective advocate in the Michigan Criminal Justice System. He has had impressive careers from both sides of the courtroom: a state prosecutor for 14 years and a defense attorney for 16 years. That experience gives him unique insight into prosecutors’ evidence and strategies used to seek criminal convictions.
Attorney Sizemore graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1991. He graduated from Detroit College of Law, which is now the MSU School of Law, in 1995. While in law school, Attorney Sizemore interned at the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office for a year and a half. It was this internship that made him decide to specialize in criminal law.
Following graduation from law school, Attorney Sizemore was asked to return to the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office, this time as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney. During his 10 years there, he handled a variety of cases, including domestic violence, drunk driving, kidnapping, sexual assault, and murder. For his final five years at that office, he was a First Assistant Prosecutor, supervising the Sexual Assault Division within the office.
In 2005, Attorney Sizemore opened the Sizemore Law Office, a small practice committed to providing high-quality criminal defense. Located in Ann Arbor, he focused his practice primarily in Washtenaw and Livingston Counties, but also represented clients all over Michigan. He moved his practice to Howell in 2012, joining the Kizer Law Firm. As a Defense Attorney, Mr. Sizemore is respected by his peers and judges in Livingston County and statewide. He has a reputation as a tough advocate that fights hard to protect his clients’ rights and ensure that justice is served. During his years in private practice, Attorney Sizemore has obtained many ‘not guilty’ verdicts in complex, high-stakes cases.
Attorney Sizemore joined the Livingston County Prosecutor’s Office in 2021, where he quickly racked up wins in several murder and sexual assault trials. In addition to winning trials, he thoroughly enjoyed working with younger, less-experienced Assistant Prosecutors, helping them become the best attorneys they can be.
Mr. Sizemore was excited to join Manley & Manley’s team of impressive, highly-skilled attorneys in 2025. He is enjoying his return to private practice in Livingston County and throughout Michigan. If you have been charged with a crime, you need a Shark. Let Attorney Sizemore put his years of experience and courtroom success to work for you.
