Worst Experience Ever

Mr. Moir recently represented me in a divorce case. He did nothing for me. My ex-husband who had not worked in the past 5 years ended up with everything and all I got was a big bill from Mr. Moir. He does not represent his clients at all. He seemed to work real hard at keeping the other parties an...d the judge in this case happy and what was fair or right did not matter. He avoided all questions that I had. I would have to go on-line and try to find the answers for myself. He did not keep me informed of what was happening, I would find things out from my now ex-husband that he was doing and I knew nothing about, of course I would get the bill for what he was doing. He definitely is not a lawyer that I would trust at all. I ended up going to my ex-husband and dealing with the issues that were at hand myself just to get this over. This is not a lawyer I would hire ever again or recommend to anyone, not even an enemy.

Would NOT recommend! Negligent, self serving and lazy.

His rapport with the judges and attorneys is more important than his clients and reputation. He asked for and was granted a withdraw after he lost his own motion for sanction for negligence (forgot to bring his pay scale) and disrespected me as a client. He filed a motion to withdraw when I provide...d the proof of fraud upon the court by the prosecutor and the judge (he blew me off AT the trial when I offered him the same information). I sent him an Email supporting the allegations and he submitted a motion to withdraw stating I was frivolous and unreasonable. Fraud upon the court IS frivolous and unreasonable, giving specific court information with the proper support for the fraud and requesting your attorney to submit a motion for FRAUD and the judge GRANTS the motion to withdraw instead is malice and abuse of power, authority and system. He's self serving and would rather see the judge happy than the people paying him. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS MAN! He does NOT do his job. He does NOT fight for you. Trust me... if you get him appointed to you.... FIND ANOTHER LAWYER! This is my second time having him appointed - I won the first time because I did the work. The second time I let him and he LOST because he actually supported the prosecutor during my trial!

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
