I received my Juris Doctor degree from Cooley Law School in May 1986 with cum laude honors. I was hired by a firm in private practice in October 1987 and I am now a partner in the same firm. I specialize in Domestic Relations matters. In 2007 I completed the 40-hour class through the Institute of Continuing Legal Education (ICLE) to serve as a mediator. "I endorse this lawyer. Barbara is hard working and dedicated to her practice. She is also an excellent mediator."
"Barb and I worked on a tough case together a few years ago. Although issues popped-up post-judgment, Barb always brought a professional perspective to the problem-solving that is a big part of our industry. A solid and tough lawyer in Genesee County."
"Attorney Dawes is an excellent advocate for her clients. I know she pays special attention to the details of particular case and often times the details are the difference between a successful outcome and leaving court bitter."
