At first he seemed to actually care about my child in the case. Then it became quite clear that he only wanted to give minimal effort in court. He also told judge incorrect thing such as my job and even called my child a girl instead of a boy. There was a very serious matter that his office dropped t...he ball on and they took no accountability. Then again when in court failed to mention something crucial that was discuss just days before. The fact that they push blame on their clients, the reception that is now good and other professionals just makes them seem worse. I guess if you have a simple case and want basic representation at a high price this is sufficient for you.

I hired Mr. Chatterton for what turned out to be long custody battle, he put a lot of time and effort into my case. Patrick was very responsive and though in all aspect of my case which included the State Appeals Court. He is a strong Attorney when needed, knew when not to be and his advice was alway...s spot on. His confidant and compassionate nature was just what I needed and he didn't hesitate to be straight forward when necessary. I am currently still having Mr. Chatterton take care of all my legal needs and would not consider recommending another Attorney.

Attorney Chatterton was hired to represent our son in a child custody case against the Mother and her Attorney, Anthony Pappadakis. The first attorney that my son hired lacked the skill, experience, dedication and aggression that was required to go up against Pappadakis. Our son ended up with basic p...arenting time and was paying more than most fathers in child support even though he was only making $12/hr at the time. After careful consideration and interviewing many attorneys, we chose to go with Attorney Chatterton to clarify our previous debacle. It was the best decision we made. He proved to be very capable of handling the situation against Pappadakis (an aggressive attorney who encourages fighting over every little detail just to inflate his cost)! Our son now has 50/50 custody of his son and we commend Patrick Chatterton who displayed the expertise, compassion, dedication and yet the aggression needed to challenge the opposition. I had three other attorneys before I was lead to Patrick L. Chatterton. I had spent over a decade battling my ex-wife about my pension. She was certain that she was entitled to more of it than she was, and is currently, receiving. I had explained and Fidelity had explained why she was getting precise...ly what she was entitled to and nothing more or anything less. Well, with my current (at that time) lawyer retiring and another summons to court over the pension issue, yet again! I had to find another lawyer to represent me in the Shiawassee Circuit Court. I can't say how much atty Chatterton has done for me and my children. HE IS THE ABOSLUTE BEST. I found attorney Chatterton to be extremely knowledgeable of all of the child custody and divorce laws. attorney Chatterton told me the truth about every question I asked. He did not promise me anything o...r fill my head with any ideas that were not realistic or things that he could not get me. If I wanted something done he got it done. I went through two lawyers before I found attorney Chatterton. In fact by the time I hired attorney Chatterton the judge did not like me very much due to my poor choice of other attorneys. Attorney Chatterton did not allowed to judge to talk down to me he in fact stood up for me to the judge and made sure all the facts were known. I had anxiety and was extremely scared to go to court but after attorney Chatterton took my case I was so happy. Attorney Chatterton relieved my anxiety I never got yelled that again by the judge once I hired him. He was not afraid to go to court or trial he never tried to cut any deals he got me everything I asked for. I cannot thank him enough. I have used him several times during my three year strung out divorce case for several different matters. Every time we went to court he fought for me. I strongly recommend this lawyer to anyone looking for the best. I have referred several of my friends to him and they have all been satisfied as well. I also found attorney Chatterton staff to be very friendly and also knowledgeable. After the first time at court with attorney Chatterton it felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders after that I had complete faith in attorney Chatterton. He really deserves more than 5 stars.
