I am married. I have three children, ages 25, and twin boys who are 18. I enjoy spending time with my family, and keeping in good physical condition. I was born in Pontiac, Michigan and raised in Clarkston, Michigan, where I attended and graduated from Holly Community Schools.
I went on to attend Central Michigan University where I excelled in collegiate academics and football. I am proud to be a member of a select group of student athletes to have been named Mid American Conference, First Team All-Academic. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, with a major in Journalism.
Then, I attended The Thomas E. Cooley Law School, located in Lansing Michigan, graduating in 1991, and received the degree of Juris Doctor. I gained valuable practical legal experience while attending Cooley and serving as a law clerk for the law firm of Church, Kritselis, Wyble & Robinson (now known as Church Wyble, P.C.) a successful Lansing Michigan Personal Injury and Municipal Law firm.
I have been licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan from 1991 to the present, and have achieved outstanding results for my clients in all areas of the law in which I practice.

Attorney Chatterton handled my divorce and later an alimony dispute. Each time, he not only fought for my best interests, but he also showed compassion and concern for what I was experiencing. He kept me informed of every step of the process. I’d recommend him to anyone and if I ever have need of l...

A day in court with an attorney who cares.....
After 3 years, many court dates, and two other Attorneys I finally wised up and hired Attorney Chatterton to represent me in my spousal support case. He was very up-front, honest and a man of integrity! He was compassionate to my situation and utilized his legal knowledge and expertise when present...
"I have known Patrick Chatterton for nearly 10-years; he is a consummate professional in the family law area. Over the years, I have had Patrick on the other side of a few cases, and have also worked as a mediator on one of his divorce cases. All of these experiences have led me to conclude that Patrick is an experienced divorce lawyer who goes the extra-yard to protect his client's interests. A former college athlete, he will never give-up on a client so, if you need divorce representation in the Genesee County area, you cannot go wrong with Mr. Chatterton. He will have your back!"
"Mr. Chatterton is a very knowledgeable family law attorney. He is respectful but aggressive and you can tell he cares about his clients. If you are in need of a family law attorney, Mr. Chatterton is an excellent choice."
"I endorse this lawyer. I have had a number of cases with attorney Chatterton during the past 23 years. I have found him to be an aggressive advocate for his clients. I have found his staff to be informed, responsive and respectful."
