About Robert
Biography
Robert S. Iwrey is a founding partner of The Health Law Partners, P.C. He graduated with High Distinction from the University of Michigan in 1988. While at the University of Michigan, he was an Executive Member of the Psi Chi National Honor Society and was a member of the Golden Key National Honor society. In 1993, Mr. Iwrey earned his J.D. at Wayne State University Law School, where he was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award in Advanced Legal Writing and was an award-winning member of Moot Court.
Mr. Iwrey has been a practicing litigator since 1993 and practicing healthcare transactional law since 1999. Mr. Iwrey provides counsel in all areas of healthcare law, including but not limited to licensure, DEA investigations, staff privileges, employment and health care related contracts, physician practice issues, third-party payor issues, government healthcare investigations and audit defense.
Mr. Iwrey has been admitted to the Michigan Bar, U.S.D.C. E.D. of MI, U.S.D.C. W.D. of MI, New York Bar, U.S.D.C. S.D. of NY and pro hac vice to various courts across the nation. Mr. Iwrey was elected by his peers to serve on the governing board of the State Bar of Michigan Health Care Law Section (MHCLS), Council, from 2005 to 2011, where he served 2 consecutive terms as its Treasurer and chaired its Pro–Bono Work Group. In 2016, Mr. Iwrey was awarded the MHCLS Fellow designation in recognition of his “Sustained, Outstanding Contributions to the Health Care Law Section.” In addition, Mr. Iwrey has served on and chaired the Oakland County Medical –Legal Committee, the MHCLS Website Committee, and the Technology Subcommittee of the MHCLS’s Substantive Law Committee. Mr. Iwrey has been awarded the distinguished AV rating by Martindale–Hubbell (highest rating available) for every consecutive year since 2004 in recognition of his high level of skill and integrity, honored by d’Business Magazine as a Top Lawyer in Health Care/Corporate Compliance for 2010, 2012-2014, 2016-2017, named as a Super Lawyer for Health Care Law in Michigan (limited to the top 5% of attorneys in the State) for every consecutive year since 2010, named a Top Rated Lawyer in Health Care Law by ALM Legal Leaders for 2015-2017, and has maintained a “Superb” rating by Avvo since 2011.
