Scott created a Living Trust for us. The entire process was very professional including working with his associates and office. The work was completed when he said it would be, everything was done according to our wishes, and he was able to answer any questions we had. He went over the document in... detail and explained each section and the importance of each part of the Trust. It was a very smooth and professional process. He also reviewed some things we needed to consider outside of the trust, his experience showed throughout the process.

My attorney was unprepared for the hearing, even when he charged me an ungodly amount to review the documents prior to the hearing. The lack of clarification on what would be charged per document was not clear. They were not professional in regards to timelines either. Also to be charged to have the ...attorney receive the final documents in their email is outrageous.

I used Scott as my divorce attorney. On the day my divorce was to be final he indicated to me at the courthouse that there may be an "issue" with my divorce being final that day as he learned that a clause regarding the HAGUE CONVENTION needed to be in the divorce judgment effective the prior week. ... The judge did not honor my divorce that day due to my attorney at Sumner & Associates not having this clause in the judgment. I took a half of day off of work & was still billed for this court date due to his error and the judge indicated that we did not need to appear in court again & that my attorney just needed to forward paperwork & she would get it stamped asap. I also got charged a couple hundred dollars for that procedure where he did not have to appear in court & for the court date he was not prepared for. I questioned his office on this after I noticed it was never credited they still charged me for it with a large interest rate with my final bill I owed and than sent in a garnishment to my current employer. If he is a practicing attorney he should be aware of what needs to be in current judgments. I feel this was very unethical & their unwillingness to work with me especially after I was wrongfully terminated from my job of 14 years & having little income or much child support for my children & myself.
