Julie Trepeck Harris focuses her practice on a broad range of commercial and residential real estate transactions, including acquisition, sale, development, construction, leasing and dispute resolution. She represents clients across a variety of industries. Her experience includes drafting/negotiating purchase and sale agreements and commercial leases, as well as handling general business and contract Trepeck Harris joined Resnick Law in 2016 to assist clients with transactional, business and corporate matters.
Prior to Honigman, Julie’s practice also focused on real estate (residential and commercial including leasing/sub-leasing, buy/sell, easements, licenses, acquisitions, boundary disputes, construction disputes, land contracts and property tax appeals), business entity formation, franchise acquisitions, compliance and operations, employment disputes, mergers and acquisitions, dissolutions, drafting/reviewing contracts and agreements, and bankruptcy/debt settlement. Julie also led the firm’s estate planning practice which focused on estate planning, estate and trust administration, asset protection, beneficiary disputes, guardianship and conservatorship.
Julie has been recognized as a Top 100 Lawyer in 2018 by The National Advocates and was previously recognized by Illinois Super Lawyers Magazine in four consecutive years as a Rising Star. She is currently licensed to practice in both Michigan and Illinois.
Julie also managed her own practice in Chicago for 6 years; and ultimately, sold the firm and moved (home) to Michigan where she grew up.
Julie received her Bachelor degree in Political Science from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and her Law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law in Chicago, IL.
