I got divorced 2016 so that I could provide the children and myself with a better life, so I thought. Since I’ve been divorced, I’ve had more communications with my ex, via motions, then we did during our marriage. Unfortunately, these communications were filled with negativism, blame, belittling, an...d manipulation. This has been emotionally and financially draining for me. I felt that I was in a vicious cycle where I was constantly advocating for my children and myself, but was getting nowhere, but broke. I felt that the court system was a monopoly.
