Represented Me in an EEOC Case

Matthew Clark represented me in an EEOC case for wrongful termination. Up until I hired him everyone I spoke to was dismissive and downplayed the seriousness of my complaint and evidence. The case was successfully settled earlier this year and I cannot imagine that would have been possible if I had t...ried to represent myself. In addition, it was just a relief to know what exactly happened. I doubt I would have ever gotten the full story had he not agreed to represent me. The cost for his work was also a plus, I did not have to pay anything until the case was complete and he took a percentage of the settlement rather than billing me directly. I also appreciated being kept up to date and included in the details as much as was possible. I never felt pressured or rushed about decisions.

You just found your next attorney!

A little background--I was distraught after being illegally terminated from my job after filing a sexual harassment complaint with very little recourse on what to do--I then had the good fortune of connecting with Mr. Clark at the time after having hired an attorney that wasn't receptive to my needs ...nor communicative about my case (whom I summarily dropped to hire Mr. Clark). The latter was not only incredibly receptive, but also made me feel prioritized and heard while spending countless hours on my case and never making me feel like I was settling for less than what I deserved. He represented me incredibly well throughout this entire ordeal and it was really only thanks to him that my case received the attention and result it deserved. Words genuinely can't do justice for the gratitude I feel toward his labor. I highly recommend hiring this attorney!

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
