What kind of investigation does a city do prior to hiring as their City Attorney? If you are a person that plays by the rules, you will want to stay away from this guy! My estate planning was a joke, since his handy work I have had to pay to get everything he did cancelled and started all over again ...with someone that actually knows what they are doing, don't get me started on the money wasted working with him. What a joke, this guy is worse than the typical ambulance chaser.

Karl Barr handled a case for me against my ex business partner to reclaim my business that was wrongfully taken from me. he failed to submit evidence regarding my case that was important. he did win the case for me but did not follow up and collect the money he won for me. He also charged astronomica...l fees and as my attorney i I trusted him and signed every paper he told me was necessary incli uding 2 mortgages he told me to sign 1 on my $300,000 home and 1 on the business he won for me in the case he represented me in. He told me he would never foreclose on these mortgages and stated he would "Get his money from which ever sold 1st". He has ruined my life. He foreclosed on my home and then my business and is currently trying to evict me from my business even though the 6 month redemption period has not expired. He bought my $300,000 , which he never put up on the sheriff sale, for $40,000 and my business for $25,000 which he stated in several documents was worth anywhere from $320,000 to $370,000. He then quit claim deeded the business from himself to a corporation he owns for $1. He stated on the deed that it was not worth more than $100. the business was my only means of support and he knows this and has even sent a copy of the quit claim deed to the city so the water bill would be sent to him and when he recieved a late notice he demanded the water be shut off causing my business to shut down for 3 days until it could be determined he had no legal right to turn it off. He is currently doing everything in his power to make sure i cannot make the money to redeem the property.
