Custody Expert

Very professional and courteous staff . Mr. Bruce was professional and helped me win custody of my child. The free consultation really made me feel comfortable. He was honest about what to expect and answered all of my legal questions which, really put me at ease. Overall, great firm!

BEWARE: Can't get any worse than this

Hired this "supposed" attorney" May 2013 to file a lawsuit. 7 months later in Dec. 2013 he went to court and the lawsuit was dismissed and he agreed with the other side to take it to arbitration. He has strung me along for 21 months now saying it is in arbitration. Many times I have to email him 3 o...r 4 times and 2 days in a row just to get a ridiculous answer. He has always said he is waiting for the arbitrators to make a final decision. Now for the last 2 months I have sent 9 emails and he has not responded to any of them. He won't even tell me if he is working on my case or not when I write and ask him. I have requested my file from him which I am legally entitled to but he won't respond to that or give it to me. I have made that request in 3 emails and once in the phone to his office. No response. As it turns out after much research on my own I found out he lied. He NEVER did even file the arbitration at all. 2 years and my money is wasted. I have now had to file a complaint with the Attorney Grievance Commission. Nothing but lies and incompetence here. My. mistake was not looking at reviews before hiring him. Now looking at them I see the pattern. I also used him for a probate last year only because he was supposedly handeling this case. Another mistake. In my opinion I was severly overcharged for what turned out to be an informal probate. Something I could have done on my own and he charged several thousand dollars. Take some good advice. RUN.

RUN FAST!!!

I hired. Mr. Bruce for a chapter 13 January 2014. My case has been DISMISSED twice due to not knowing what he is doing, and not submitting documents to courts. My ex wife and I were arrested for not appearing in court when told by Mr. Bruce not to go. I left numerous phone message with his staff ...while being told the same lies " he's in court", "out to lunch", " with a client", and my favorite " he's stuck in traffic" while I was waiting In his Taylor office. Not to mention $240 bond money held for 9 months , and still waiting for a release. Mr Bruce has caused me nothing but stress, worry, and aggravation for the last 1 1/2 years. I had to hire another attorney to try repair the damage he has caused. Thanks a million Mr. Bruce. I could have not done this much damage with out an attorney, and saved my self some money

RUDE & INCOMEPTENENT STAFF

The attorney knows the law and great in criminal cases in MONROE COUNTY, but can't say his office staff is irresponsible!! Shellie tells me a different tale every time I call. I wonder if she even gives the attorney my messages. His "associate" attorney is a joke! Doesn't seem to want to assist if ...Mr. Bruce is unavailable!!

Dissatisfied client

The only thing he's prompt at is cashing checks. He does not get things done in a timely fashion very unprofessional, lazy, ignorant. Pretty sure he's not even recognized by the board.. Wouldn't hire him for a traffic violation much less any serious matter. Retained him in October for a divorce and h...ere it is mid December and he's done nothing but take my money
