Biography
Joseph Engerer received his law degree from Michigan State University College of Law and a Bachelor of Science in political science from Grand Valley State University. He worked as a litigator in the insurance defense field representing several major carriers before joining the offices of Helmkamp, Ellis, and Abraham in 2017. This experience has given him valuable insight in handling cases against large and often powerful insurance companies. Joseph has clerked for Michigan Supreme Court Justice Brian Zahra and worked in Michigan politics as well as for the state legislature prior to becoming an attorney.
Joseph resides in Northville, Michigan with his wife and two children. He enjoys traveling and is interested in history and theology.
