Probate 35%

The goals of the probate process are to provide a final accounting of the decedent’s assets, ensure that his or her valid debts are paid, and provide for an orderly distribution of the Estate. Through the probate process, property held in the decedent’s individual name is ultimately transferred to the heirs. If there is a Will, the probate court will follow the provisions of the Will in transferring the assets.

Estate Planning 30%

If you would like to avoid probate, minimize taxes, protect your assets and ensure that your personal and financial affairs are handled as you desire, you need an estate plan. An estate plan generally involves having a Last Will, a Power of Attorney, a Patient Advocate Designation and sometimes a Revocable Living Trust. All of these documents must be tailored to your particular circumstances and needs.

Trusts 15%

Handling a Trust or Estate for a deceased or incapacitated person is very different than handling your own assets. The fiduciary often has to balance the competing interests of many family members. The responsibilities should not be taken lightly, even if everyone appears to get along and there are few assets or liabilities. If the fiduciary does not handle everything properly, he or she could become personally liable for any problems.

Elder Law 5%

No one likes to think of themselves, their spouse or someone they love losing their independence. For many elderly people, having to leave home to live in an assisted living facility or nursing home is a disconcerting reality.

Estate Planning

Bill was both thorough and thoughtful in his approach to crafting our estate plan.

Great lawyer

Mr. Gaggos has been very helpful with the planning of my mother's estate. He has told us the information that we need to know while being very honest and upfront with all the possible outcomes. He communicates well with my sister and I on what the next steps entail and is very available for any quest...ions we might have.

Estate Planning made easy

We were given Mr. Gaggos' name from our friend, who is also our financial advisor, so we knew we would be in good hands before our first meeting. We have been meaning to put together our estate and our will for a few years but never got around to doing it. We meet with him and everything was an abs...olute breeze. The first visit was in the office to gather the basic information of assets and who we wanted to appoint to handle our estate, our child, etc. Mr. Gaggos brought up several good ideas that we had never thought of due to his years of experience. Following our meeting, he sent us an email with access to an online tool where you review the documents, and can add comments, change things, etc. We had a final meeting in the office to sign all the necessary paperwork and all went smoothly. If you are looking for someone to assist with the task of your Will as well as a Trust, or anything related to your estate, then Gaggos is your guy.

Secured Bill Gaggos' services for estate planning.

Bill was referred to us over 10 years ago for estate planning services. We had young children, a home and other assets at the time so there was much to consider when establishing out Trust and Will He was extremely valuable in providing a road map and posing a variety of questions/scenarios as we ma...de decisions regarding Trust executorship, medical POA and guardianship for our kids. He made several other points we might want to consider when developing our estate plan. Over the years, we have consulted Bill on personal business matters and most recently worked with him to update our estate due to life changes. He has always been professional and thoughtful to ensure our personal affairs are in order as we want.

After the death of my wife, I met with Bill to discuss my will and estate plan. He recommended a detailed strategy and put my mind at ease. I would highly recommend Bill Gaggos.
