Probate 35%

The goals of the probate process are to provide a final accounting of the decedent’s assets, ensure that his or her valid debts are paid, and provide for an orderly distribution of the Estate. Through the probate process, property held in the decedent’s individual name is ultimately transferred to the heirs. If there is a Will, the probate court will follow the provisions of the Will in transferring the assets.

Estate Planning 30%

If you would like to avoid probate, minimize taxes, protect your assets and ensure that your personal and financial affairs are handled as you desire, you need an estate plan. An estate plan generally involves having a Last Will, a Power of Attorney, a Patient Advocate Designation and sometimes a Revocable Living Trust. All of these documents must be tailored to your particular circumstances and needs.

Trusts 15%

Handling a Trust or Estate for a deceased or incapacitated person is very different than handling your own assets. The fiduciary often has to balance the competing interests of many family members. The responsibilities should not be taken lightly, even if everyone appears to get along and there are few assets or liabilities. If the fiduciary does not handle everything properly, he or she could become personally liable for any problems.

No one likes to think of themselves, their spouse or someone they love losing their independence. For many elderly people, having to leave home to live in an assisted living facility or nursing home is a disconcerting reality.

Estate planning

Bill exceeded my expectations on my father’s estate planning. It was a very difficult time for me, Bill took the time to walk me through the process. He was very knowledgeable, professional and most important responsive. Billing was accurate, precise and reasonable. I will be using Bill for all... of my future estate and legal business matters moving forward. I consider him a friend. -Christopher Maiberger

Estate planning

I was referred to Attorney Gaggos by my banker in order to update my living will. He is extremely knowledgeable and professional. He took care of things quickly and anticipated any problems before they happened. I would highly recommend him and his staff.

Old estate problem settled quickly and correctly

I strongly recommend William Gaggos. I had a modest estate settlement problem that involved property. Even though I was involved only as the husband of one of the four siblings I was named in the will. For twenty five (25) years the executor of the estate refused to settle the estate. After eng...aging three different lawyers a friend recommended William Gaggos. I hired him. He worked swiftly and firmly, explaining our options at every step, together with his legal opinion. His extensive experience in this discipline of law was obvious to me and the opposition. They crumbled and the case (removal of the executor, new executor appointed, property correctly divided between all parties) was settled out of court.

Estate Planning advise

Bill provided straight forward answers to our questions regarding changes to our Estate plan and spoke in layman terms we understood. He was quick to respond back to us on follow up questions. I would recommend to our friends if they needed his services.

Estate planning made easy.

I requested a referral from another professional, and William Gaggos was the top name given. Bill met with my husband and I and completely walked us through our entire estate planning. As a couple married for the second time around, the complexity of our family dynamics presented some challenges. Bil...l made sure we had a clear understanding of each part of the process. He was always available to contact and very easy to work with. We highly recommend him.
