Successful Litigation in hundreds of cases in the State/Provincial and Federal Courts in Michigan, New York, Ohio and Ontario (1998).  In addition to numerous trial and summary judgment awards/verdicts, significant recent history includes the following: 

(1)  Co-counsel in successful enforcement of corporate client/importer’s rights under the federal Lanham Act and Ohio Deceptive Trade Practices Act, for failure of the client’s competitor to mark/label imported products with country of origin designation, resulting in Judgment of $1,150,, plus associated attorneys fees and costs (approx. $500,).  Client further protected by successful placement of a Permanent Injunction against the violating importer;

(2)  Successful defense of a multi-million dollar personal injury and property damage case, and prosecution of a cross-collection action for property damage, resulting from a grade crossing accident between a train and semi-truck hauling a multi-ton portable rock crushing plant.  The client’s cross-claims were eventually settled in the amount of $510,;

(3)  Successful repeated defense of multi-million dollar class action flood case against Fortune 500 client.  Organized and maintained cooperation between six (6) corporate defendants with conflicting interests to avoid potential infighting and secure united defense against class litigants.

Experience researching and identifying solutions for corporate clients regarding the potential effects of local, state and federal statutory and regulatory schemes on their enterprises.

Experience drafting, reviewing, analyzing and providing advice to clients as to general and industry specific contracts and agreements.

Experience with general business formation, commercial transactional and acquisition work representing both purchasers and sellers.
